Product description The oval ventilation duct (tunnel geometry) 133 x 52 mm is used as a flexible supply air and extract air duct in buildings for regulated apartment ventilation.

Oval ventilation duct in the insulating lawyer between the concrete level and screed

Installation in the insulating layer between the concrete level and screed is preferred (see figure). However, it is not suitable for setting in concrete in bare concrete surfaces! The oval ventilation duct is suitable for a temperature range of -20 °C to approx. +60 °C. Standard delivery length: 1 roll = 20 linear metres (lfm) The 20 lfm roll is sealed with end plugs, individually packaged in a foil bag and stored in halls with UV protection. The flexible tunnel duct consists of physiologically and toxicologically safe polyethylene, which is corrugated on the outside and has a smooth finish on the inside.

The polyethylene (PE) used is a new good without recycling supplements and is provided with a silver-bearing additive that prevents the development and spreading of fungus and bacteria. The inner duct is provided with an antistatic compound. The duct is blue on the outside and transparent on the inside. At an air speed of 3 m/sec, the air volume flow is 45 m³/h. N.B.: Tube length of approx. 15 m may not be exceeded when cleaning, otherwise appropriate access options (cleaning boxes) must be provided!

Heed the following during installation! Connect the flexible KomFlex® oval corrugated tube to a formed part by pressing in the formed part to just short of the swage (ca. 5 mm) on the formed part. The swage is your end stop. Ensure that the KomFlex® oval corrugated tube is cut at right angles and square to create a perfect connection.

The cut edge must be de-burred and clean. After parallel alignment of the formed part with the flexible KomFlex® oval corrugated tube, apply the coldshrink tape (Item no. VM50) over the circumference with 50 % overlap.

1) Connect the flexible KomFlex® oval corrugated tube to a formed part by pressing in the formed part to just short of the swage (ca. 5 mm) on the formed part.

3) Pressing the KomFlex® oval corrugated tube against the end stop will increase the tightness of the connection by compressing the cold-shrink tape.
