A nursery experiment was conducted in Ibadan, rain forest zone of Nigeria to evaluate the effect of sole application and integration of kola testa (KT) and NPK fertilizer on the growth performance, leaf and soil chemical composition of kola seedlings. The experiment comprised eight treatments derived from: 400kg ha-1 NPK (K0N5); 5t ha-1 Kola testa + 400kg ha-1 NPK (K1N5); 10t ha-1 Kola testa +300kg ha-1 NPK (K2N4); 15t ha-1 Kola testa +200kg ha-1NPK (K3N3); 20t ha-1 Kola testa +100kg ha-1 NPK (K4N2); 25t ha-1 Kola testa + 50kg ha-1 NPK (K5N1); 25t ha-1 Kola testa (K5N0) and Control. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications The results showed that the sole application of kola testa and the integration of kola testa with NPK fertilizer increased significantly (p
