COLORADO RIVER MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT O.H. IVIE WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREAS PUBLIC HUNTING 2015 HUNTING SEASON *
The drawing for the WMA Public Hunting Permits for the 2015 Hunting Season will be at 1:00 p.m. on August 21, 2015 at the Ivie Reservoir Field Office. This will be a public drawing and applicants are welcome to attend if they so desire.

Archery hunting will be permitted only on the Talpa WMA during the archery season only (October 3 through November 6). There shall be no public gun hunting on the Talpa WMA, nor will this area be available for non-consumptive use for 2015.

Both shotgun and archery hunting will be permitted on the Riverside WMA but only during the gun season (November 7through January 3). Hunters shall have the option to use bow and arrows during the gun season; however, they shall be required to wear the fluorescent orange clothing and headgear.

Weekend dates only for public hunting (archery and gun seasons).
Application for public hunting permits on the O.H. Ivie Reservoir Wildlife Management Areas will be accepted by mail only beginning July 15, 2015 and ending August 15, 2015, at the O.H. Ivie Reservoir Field Office. Any applications post-marked before July 15 or after August 15 will be rejected. Mail application to: O.H. COLORADO RIVER MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT HUNTING AND NON-HUNTING PUBLIC ACCESS DISCLAIMER AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY Either through Permit or by an expressed authorization by the Colorado River Municipal Water District, you and others are allowed entry upon designated lands owned by the District. The Colorado River Municipal Water District does not know what type of conditions exist upon any such designated lands, nor the proficiency of other participating hunters and non-hunting users, and it specifically does not make any warranty or representation of any type, kind or character, whatsoever, as to existing conditions upon said designated lands or as to the suitability or non-suitability of such designated lands for hunting and non-hunting purposes. Any person or Permittee entering upon such designated lands, enters at his or her own risk and expressly accepts such designated lands in the existing conditions, and recognizes that all hunting is potentially dangerous because of the use of firearms by hunters of varying degrees of proficiency, and in consideration of being permitted to participate in this public hunting and non-hunting program, I as parent or guardian of any accompanying minor, unconditionally release and hold harmless the Colorado River Municipal Water District and it’s representatives against and for all liability, cost, expenses, claims and damages for which the Colorado River Municipal Water District might otherwise become liable by reason of any accidents, or injuries to or death of any persons, or damage to property, or both in any manner arising or resulting from, caused by, connected with or related to the presence of any such person upon such designated land and premises, regardless of how, where, or when such injury, or death or damage occurs even if caused by the negligence of the Colorado River Municipal Water District, its agents, servants or employees, or due to conditions or operations or operation on or defects in the premises. Any person or Permittee expressly agrees to protect, defend, indemnify and save the Colorado River Municipal Water District, its officers, directors and employees harmless from and against any and all claims, demands and causes of action of every kind and character, without limit and without regard to the cause or causes of such claims, demands or causes of action, or the negligence of any party, including the Colorado River Municipal Water District, its officers, directors and employees in connection with any injury that might occur to the person, Permittee or any minors accompanying the Permittee.
