Nonresident transfer students must meet one of the following admission requirements to transfer to ASU:* *associate degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a 2.50 cumulative GPA or higher *an IGETC or CSU GE from a California community college with a 2.50 cumulative GPA or higher * 4.0 = “A” Arizona State University accepts college-level courses in which you have earned a “C-” or better.

*English: No, completion of English is not required to be admitted to the school. However, English will be required to be completed for all our majors. *Math: No, the completion of math is not required, however math is required for our degrees and some degrees will require a higher amount of math, such as science majors or engineering. Psychology is an exception and needs pre-calculus prior to being admitted. *General Education: ASU accepts IGETC and CSU GE Breadth.

*FALL Application: February 1st (VIP) *SPRING Application: October 1st (VIP) *Application Fee: $70 for non-residents (out of state applicants). *Fee waiver: none for Out-of-State students

A maximum of 64 semester hours of credit will be accepted as lower-division credit when transferred from a regionally accredited community, junior or two-year college, with the exception of some special programs. ASU accepts college-level (not remedial) courses in which you have earned a grade of “C” (4.00=“A”) or better from regionally accredited colleges and universities. The applicability of a specific transfer course toward an ASU degree program depends on the requirements of the department, division, college or school in which you are enrolled at ASU. *AP, CLEP, and IB: are accepted. *Military credit: the military credits are honored and a full evaluation is determined after the student applies to the school. Our veteran’s office is unable to provide a preevaluation however, ASU does accept these courses and will give appropriate credit for these courses.

To meet transfer admission requirements, students must: *have graduated from high school *earned more than 28 units of college credit *a minimum C- grade is required for all transferable units.

APU will accept a maximum of 70 semester units from a community college. Once a student has reached this ceiling, APU will not accept any additional units from a community college to meet graduation requirements. If a student is enrolled in another four-year college, all transferable credits from a four year college may be accepted. In order to graduate from APU, a minimum of 30 units must be earned at this institution, including at least 15 upper-division units in the major field. At least 18 of these units must be completed within the last 24 units counted toward the degree. Credit by examination (CLEP) may not be used to fulfill the 30-unit minimum requirement. Students may earn credit through AP, CLEP and IB. However, no CLEP credit will be granted in the student’s final semester. APU evaluates courses and service completed through the Armed Services and may grant credit for such courses. Credit is typically based on the recommendations from the American Council on Education (ACE).

*Prospective students are eligible to apply as transfer students if they will have completed two or more terms of academic work (in good standing) at a recognized institution of higher learning by the academic term for which they apply. *Transcripts are evaluated grade by grade. The overall transcript will be assessed versus looking at a minimum GPA. There is no minimum GPA used for admissions.

*English: English, no. Writing, Yes. (it need not be an English course as long as it is clearly a writing-intensive course). *Math: Yes, and then some. Math through Single and MV Calculus, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra. *General Education: Does not accept IGETC and CSU GE Breadth.

*FALL Application: April 1. All required items due for transfer application, except work-in-progress form. (Note: HMC does not accept applications for mid-year transfers. All new students begin in the fall semester.) April 15, completed work-inprogress form due. May 15, admission decisions mailed out to transfer applicants. Transfer students with transferable units between 12-23 will require use of high school transcripts with at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA and a 2.0 GPA in transferable coursework. Arizona Board of Regents Course Competencies are waived if you are 22 years of age or older. Official high school transcript (if applicant is under the age of 22, or if otherwise required). Students cannot declare undecided on their application and must enter an alternate major.

There are no majors with a minimum GPA. The Marshall School of Business is the only major that has an absoulute requirement of Calculus being complete by the end of the Spring semester before transferring. Other majors like engineering recommend taking certain classes, budt don't have strict requirements like Marshall.
