Goal of the symposium Foster a positive international environment for a presentation of research designs and findings and an exchange of ideas in nursing science research Bring together postgraduate students and teachers of nursing science from Finland, Norway and Sweden to develop research collaboration. Theme The theme of the symposium will be based on the methodological issues and current research designs of the postgraduate students’ studies.

Instructions for students Prior to the symposium, Finnish, Norwegian and Swedish doctoral students involved are invited to send an abstract of their doctoral study for post-graduate students’ sessions. Each participant should prepare a one A4 page abstract of their research design and has presentation in the symposium. The abstract and presentation should include: 1) the nature (subject area and purpose) of the research 2) the research method(s) planned or already used 3) anticipated/limitations or difficulties of conducting the research 4) progress, if any, to date. All students able to get to know the abstracts before the symposium. Abstracts should be saved before the 15th of November into Moodle platform. ADP advisor Ninja Lehtonen will send user name based on email addresses for Moodle platform. The presentation will consist of a 15 minute presentation followed by a 15 minutes discussion and question period. Please be precise in time. PowerPoint can be used in the presentation.
