Information

ESPEN Life Long Learning

Program

Course registration

The Life Long Learning (LLL) program in Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism is an extremely effective educational program for medical doctors and health specialists offering online and at live courses, by variety of innovative training methodologies and resources.

Thursday, 20 March

Course organizer Aesculap Academy Finland in cooperation with ESPEN

The LLL program in Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism is based on an educational curriculum offering 120 training modules (100 are already available online) created and peer reviewed by recognized European experts. The online modules are freely accessible online after registration.

Course objectives Specialized nutrition support (SNS) has become an indispensable part of patient care to reduce morbidity and mortality associated with critical illness. However, since SNS is not routinely required for all hospitalized patients, physicians have to develop expertise in identifying patients at risk of malnutrition and provide effective and safe nutritional support. The aim of this 2-days program is to strengthen the physician’s knowledge on SNS, especially about clinical nutrition, and help them develop expertise in the provision of SNS. The course, with the help of a panel of experts from ESPEN, taps into the latest scientific knowledge through a combination of lectures and case presentations.
