Client Portal User Guide As your trusted advisors for business, accounting and tax services, Rosen, Sapperstein & Friedlander, LLC is honored to have earned your trust and we take that responsibility very seriously. We understand and value the importance you place on your security and privacy and we go to great measures to help you feel secure and confident in the handling of your financial data. To better serve you, we have implemented a portal system designed and hosted by Thomson Reuters, known as NetClient CS. This guide is designed for our clients who will have access to the ClientFlow and/or File Exchange modules in NetClient CS. The portal is an extension of RS&F’s website and provides a solution for our clients to exchange electronic documents securely and quickly. It will also provide you with 24/7 access to electronic copies of your documents such as tax returns and financial statements. When you use NetClient CS, be assured that your software and data are in the most secure location available—a class-IV, IBM-certified data center, which takes every precaution to guarantee the safety and integrity of your data.

To use NetClient CS, you must have a high-speed internet connection and one of the following internet browsers: Google Chrome Internet Explorer version 11.0 (or higher) Mozilla Firefox Safari

Access & Use of NetClient CS This Client Portal User Guide will provide step-by-step instructions for registering with NetClient CS and using the ClientFlow and File Exchange Modules. To access NetClient CS, RS&F will create an account for you. You will then receive a registration e-mail from [email protected]. It is very important that you actively look for this e-mail, as your e-mail program may treat this e-mail as spam or junk mail. Sample NetClient CS Activation E-mail: Once you receive the e-mail, go to the registration website by clicking the “Register” link in the e-ma Please Note: The images used in these instructions are for illustrative purposes only and could be slightly different than the actual NetClient CS website you will access.

Client Portal User Guide

1.

To access your tax documents via ClientFlow, click on the folder “ClientFlow Folder” (in this example) on the left hand side of the home screen under NetClient CS – Documents. 2. Click on the Client Folder for which client you want to view the document. All clients you have access to will have a separate folder. 3. Click on the document to open. Depending on your internet browser, a PDF file will either 1) download to your computer for you to access, or 2) open inside the web browser to view. Either way, you are able to save the PDF directly to your computer.

Documents opened from the client portal are READ ONLY and therefore cannot be edited and saved back to the portal. If the document requires editing, save a copy to your local computer, edit it as necessary, and then upload it back to the portal (uploading is discussed in the next steps). RS&F determines which documents you can view by publishing them to the portal. At any time RS&F can unpublish a document where you will not be able to view it.

Client Portal User Guide

To upload a document to your ClientFlow portal, click “Upload” from the selected client folder, then choose “Add Files”. Choose the location on your computer where the document is located and select it. Once the document is populated in the upload screen, click “Start Upload.” Multiple Documents: To upload multiple documents, we ask you create a .zip folder (see instructions below) containing all files you wish to upload to RS&F. The .zip folder can then be Uploaded using the instructions above. How to Create a ZIP File or Folder (only available in windows) 1 - Locate the files or folder that you want to zip. 2 - Press and hold (or right-click) the file or folder, select (or point to) Send to, and then select Compressed (zipped) folder. A new zipped folder with the same name is created in the same location.

Important Information about Documents Uploaded through ClientFlow in the Portal • Once a file(s) is uploaded through ClientFlow it can only be removed or deleted by RS&F. If you have erroneously uploaded a file(s), please contact us to have it removed. • Most document file types can be uploaded with the portal and viewed in its native format. • Approximately 400 MB is the maximum file size that can be uploaded through the ClientFlow module in NetClient at one time. • A Portal session may time-out if the internet connect is not fast enough to completely upload a document or is inactive for approximately 30 minutes.

Client Portal User Guide Depending on access you have been given, certain users may only have access to the File Exchange portal folder. Or, ClientFlow users may be instructed by RS&F from time to time to upload or retrieve documents from the File Exchange folder even if you typically use the ClientFlow portal. This is a separate secure exchange folder that allows for file sharing with RS&F. A document placed in a File Exchange folder only has a 14 day time-frame before it is automatically purged and no longer available to anyone (RS&F and clients).
