Please provide a brief bio/summary of you and your family: I am a graduate of Carver Bible College and Dallas Theological Seminary. I was called to the ministry in August 1993 and ordained in July 1997. I have served as Pastor of God’s Acre Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA and Director of Admissions and Bible Teacher at Carver Bible College (1998-2006). Also, I have participated in numerous mission trips around the world. Currently, I serve as Pastor of New Pathway Baptist Church and adjunct professor of Old and New Testament Studies at MWE School of Ministry in Snellville, GA.

Description of how an established church might partner with you (financially, projects, outreach, training, etc.): A potential church may partner with us in the area of outreach as we continually evangelize the community for Christ as well as assist us in securing a meeting place.

Church Planter Name: Stuart Borders Church Plant Name: Reservoir Church Church Plant Physical Address: 964 Westmoreland Circle NW. Atlanta, GA 30318 Church Planter Email: [email protected] Church Planter Phone Number: (678) 935-6417 Brief description of the church plant focus group: Reservoir Church is a gathering of people growing in the grace found in Jesus Christ to spread hope to our community and world. Our primary mission area is the West Highlands neighborhood, formerly Perry Homes Housing Project, in West Midtown Atlanta. Our neighborhood is a planned community that consists of over 700 apartment units and will contain more than 600 single-family homes when completed. It is a diverse neighborhood both racially and economically. Our desire is to plant a church that reflects these differences and sees the Kingdom provide the transformation and restoration the community longs for. Please provide a brief bio/summary of you and your family: Jenny and I have been married for almost 8 years after meeting in college at Western Kentucky University. I work as an internet developer full-time and Jenny stays at home with our kids. We have 5 kids, Ella(6), Spencer(4), Kate(4), Josiah(3), and Benjamin (due in January). We moved to Atlanta in September of 2012 to plant Reservoir Church. Description of how an established church might partner with you (financially, projects, outreach, training, etc.): Reservoir Church is a new start with very fluid needs. General ways for partnership include: 1) Prayer – Primary to everything we do is prayer. We need partners to commit to pray for our ministry, our community, our family, and our needs. 2) Ministry – We need people to assist with backyard Bible clubs, block parties, movie nights in the park, etc. Our church relies on partnering churches to help provide willing hands and feet to make these events possible, allowing us to serve the neighborhood and to provide outreach events. 3) Financial – Because our plant has just started and our group is small, it costs financially to provide discipleship materials, host outreach events, and host meetings. We desire to partner with churches who recognize these ongoing needs for a time and who provide financially so that the work can continue here.

Church Planter Name: Rusty Couch Church Plant Name: Woodland Hills Church Church Plant Physical Address: 1084 Woodland Avenue SE, Atlanta, GA 30316 Church Planter Email: [email protected] Church Planter Phone Number: 404-396-2823 (cell) 404-627-7364 (church office) Brief description of the church plant focus group: Woodland Hills Baptist Church was established in 1929 in SE Atlanta where it flourished for many years. It peaked numerically between the 1950s and 1970s, with over 1,000 members. Unfortunately, due to repeated demographic changes, the church declined drastically from the early 1980s until 2008. In 2008, the church made a vow to re-establish itself. Many changes and sacrifices have had to be made, but God has blessed mightily. The church has more than tripled in size numerically, and has also seen many new ministry opportunities and doors open in our community. Please provide a brief bio/summary of you and your family: Russell Couch (Rusty) was called to serve as Senior Pastor on August 24, 2008. He has a B.S. in Church Leadership from Mid-Continent University in Mayfield, KY. Over the last two decades, Rusty has served churches in KY, AL and GA in music, missions, outreach, and student ministry capacities. Rusty grew up in Athens, GA, and is a huge fan of UGA and Atlanta sports. He is not married, and his family all still resides in North Georgia. Description of how an established church might partner with you (financially, projects, outreach, training, etc.): Finances are extremely tight, with the small church body having to maintain a large and aged facility. For the past five years, we have relentlessly and necessarily been involved in many building renovation projects. We are extremely limited by finances and labor. Day-to-day finances are also a challenge as the small congregation (many of whom are new believers) struggle to be able to meet the expenditures of our very limited budget. Several churches have committed to supporting our church plant on a monthly basis, which is helpful, and we are currently seeking more churches to do this. One thing we have been earnestly praying for of late is for the Lord to call some strong families to come and join our church and serve as laypeople. We have been able to launch ministries for kids, youth and adults, but we are lacking in solid family units, mature believers and dedicated people to staff these ministries. Our ministry infrastructure is weak and in need of backups! The Bible tells is to “pray for laborers” so that is what we are doing. Our church is situated in a very densely populated area in SE Atlanta, just a few blocks east of Grant Park and south of I-20. There is much resistance to institutional religion – and especially the Gospel in our community. Outreach is difficult, but not impossible. We are always blessed when short-term mission teams come and help us creatively reach out to our community. As I mentioned before, we are constantly in construction mode. We need teams of skilled and not-so-skilled laborers to come help us with the tremendous task of both maintaining and refurbishing our derelict facility.

Our vision is to become a community of believers who will continually pursue Jesus; will grow spiritually mature; are intentional about prayer, discipleship, and evangelism as well as encouraging and fellowshipping with one another. In addition, as we are mission-oriented locally we plan to connect and minister to people all over through the use of technology and social media. We also want to become a sending church which regularly equips, sends, and supports church planters. Brief bio/summary of you and your family: I was born and raised in Atlanta. I earned my undergraduate degree from Georgia Southern University, an MBA from Mercer University, and a Master of Divinity degree from the McAfee School of Theology at Mercer University. I have a heart for people and a passion for inspiring others to discover and fulfill their God-given purpose. I seek to teach the Word of God in a simple, uncomplicated manner, so that people can apply it to their lives, through the use of sound biblical principles and practical knowledge. I currently live in Atlanta with my wife Cindy, a former public school teacher who recently started her own school for students with learning disabilities (triumphinlife.com), and our super outgoing, intelligent, and energetic daughter Aubrey. Description of how an established church might partner with you (financially, projects, outreach, training, etc.): Churches can partner with us first and foremost through prayer. Pray for the people we are trying to reach, for our community, for those who will serve with us, and that we never lose sight of Jesus in what we do. Secondly, churches can partner with us as we do outreach in the community—such as prayer walks, community service, or other forms of focused outreach. We can also use graphics and techie people who want to volunteer some time to us as well as photographers so we can continually tell the story of what God is doing through us. Also, churches can support us financially. God has gifted us to leverage our skill set to be creative to try and work around financial limitations, but financial assistance is needed to make a greater impact.

Church Planter Name: Kris Parker Church Plant Name: City Church East Atlanta Village Church Plant Physical Address: (in transition) Church Planter Email: [email protected] Church Planter Phone Number: 770-231-2142 Brief description of the church plant focus group: Our focus will be on the large number of unchurched people in East Atlanta Village, which is a majority of the people there. We will seek to attract those most like us—young married couples, those with young kids, those preparing for kids— while also seeking to impact the lives of those outside of that category. Brief bio/summary of you and your family: Kris and Brandi have been married for over 10 years. They have four boys: Kaden (8), Karson (7), Korbin (5) and Koen (3). Kris grew up in a small town in North Florida (Chipley), before moving to Loganville, GA. He has a Bachelor's degree in Religion from Liberty University. Kris has worked in two different churches in Loganville, the last one being Crossroads Church of Walton County, who sent them out to plant City Church. Kris is passionate about teaching the Gospel, and helping people to understand the way that it changes everything about their lives. Description of how an established church might partner with you (financially, projects, outreach, training, etc.): An established church partner can partner with us in several different ways: 1) Prayer: We recognize that this is a spiritual battle and it must be fought with spiritual forces so we are desperate for churches to earnestly pray for our church planting efforts. 2) Projects: Our focus in the Village will be to meet as many needs of the community as possible. We desire to host block parties and other community-oriented festivals to attract people and make a connection to them. These projects along with others are things that a church partner can assist with. 3) Outreach: While we have utilized the Research arm of the GBC, we would love to conduct our own demographic studies of the community around East Atlanta Village. 4) Finances: Finances will be one of the greatest needs we have and it can be split into two main categories: salary, and community service. Kris will be working a part-time job to help support his family, but there will be a definite need for additional support. City Church also desires to impact the community through meeting their needs. This will be something that a partner church can give financially to so that City Church can meet even more needs.

Jael is a World champion All-star competitive cheerleader, Varsity high school cheerleader, track athlete and does volunteer services. Description of how an established church might partner with you (financially, projects, outreach, training, etc.): It would be great to have a locally and an abroad partnering church that is strong in mission-oriented projects as well as financially as our church plant focus group largely consists of the unchurched who are being taught the importance of bringing tithes and offerings as well as talents. We need the financial support to assist with projects. During our prelaunch stage we have provided several mission-oriented projects to involve the community and reach the lost such as an Easter Extravaganza, plunging the community passing out flyers for events as well as flyers about our church, a community Health and Wellness event, and a school supply donation to Coan Middle School where we discussed and have been accepted as a partner with the school. We have many other mission and evangelical events ideas, but we would need a strong partnering church to assist us financially and even possibly sending a few members to be a part of our ministry for a couple of years.
