CNG and LNG market development, from Russia to Australia Russia The Gazprom board of directors has addressed the company’s marketing policy regarding the international markets of small- and large-scale LNG supplies. Gazprom sees that its LNG marketing development represented one of the company’s core businesses. Since entering the LNG sector in 2005, Gazprom has sold 148 LNG cargoes to 12 countries, and the company is always looking to expand its operations and build up its supplies. After considering the global LNG market, the board of directors decided to focus on marketing gas from new projects, to enhance Gazprom’s largescale LNG business. In particular, the company is looking at possible ways to increase its supplies from the Sakhalin II project, through the addition of a third production train. The LNG plant in Vladivostok has commenced selling gas and the Baltic LNG project is currently under development. A gradual increase in LNG output will allow Gazprom to command a 15 percent share in the global market by 2030. The company is also committed to developing port infrastructure in the regions where LNG is used as marine fuel.
South Korea Korean researchers at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) have successfully showcased the installation and operation of a box-shaped, highpressure tank for the storage of LNG in Pohang, Republic of Korea. The development is described as the first of its kind in the world. KAIST researchers have taken a turnabout approach to construct a pressure vessel that is neither cylindrical nor spherical. Professors Bergan and Daejun Chang of Ocean Systems Engineering at KAIST developed the box-type, large size pressure vessel for the storage and transportation of liquids such as LPG, CNG or LNG.
Pakistan The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) on December 2013 has issued
notification of new prices of CNG following the judgment of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. The apex court had ordered to suspend additional nine percent GST on CNG and impose standard rate of 17 percent on it. The 17 percent sales tax would be charged from CNG stations through their gas bills by the gas distribution companies without any change in the consumer price of CNG or the amount of sales tax collected under Sales Tax (Amendment) Ordinance, 2014. According to Ogra’s notification pertaining to new prices of cheap fuel (CNG) for above three million vehicles, new price of CNG for Region-I is Rs74.25/kg while Rs66.14/kg for Region-II. New prices have been notified as per the judgment of Supreme Court. The OGRA decreased the prices up to Rs 1.23 per kg. On the other hand, the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has been making efforts to resume the CNG bus service as soon as possible, said the company administrator Rauf Akhtar Farooqui. The CNG bus service had been operating in the city to provide cheap transportation facilities to citizens but was terminated in April 2013. The bus service had been launched on two long routes in the city — first from Surjani to Korangi and second Surjani to Tower — with about 48 vehicles. The citizens of Karachi had appreciated this bus service which had provided them with convenient and cheap travel facility through comfortable CNG buses.
Indonesia The country’s state-owned electricity company PT PLN has opened a new CNG Storage Facility in Bekasi City in West Java Province. The storage facility is equipped with 16 Microbox® compressors supplied by Galileo. It is the biggest compression and storage facility built so far worldwide and will reduce the company’s oil use by more than 200,000 kiloliters. The facility includes a Galileo Nanobox® CNG compressor and dispenser installed to refuel PT PLN’s natural gas vehicle fleet in this location.
Also, PT PLN’s subsidiary PLN Batam has just started to use two Microbox® MX4 CNG compressors and four EMC dispensers to work as a mother station of a CNG marine distribution system. The mother station offers a flow rate of 2 x 3200 Sm3/h. On a daily basis, it will fill a 20 CNG tube skid that will allow for the replacement of the current power station fuel oil consumption, as well as savings worth 5 million dollars per year in power generation. PLN Batam will supply Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) by boat to fuel the power generation plant of Bintan Island, in the Riau Islands Province, Indonesia. In a later stage, PLN Batam foresees to extend its CNG marine distribution system to Bangka Belitung Island and Fantasy Island (Manis Islands) at Riau Islands Province.
Australia Last April, Iveco Australia and AGL displayed a CNG-powered Daily commercial van at the Melbourne International Truck, Trailer and Equipment Show. The CNG Daily commercial van is powered by a Fiat Powertrain (FPT) three liter natural gas engine, rated at 100 kW and 350 Nm of torque, between 1,500 and 2,700 rpm. When combined with AGL’s CNG, the Daily offers fleets a cleaner, low-carbon and more productive alternative.

CIMC ENRIC’s big growth thanks to the LNG business CIMC Enric Holdings Limited (CIMC ENRIC) recently announced its audited annual results for the year ended 31st December 2013. The company has seen turnover rise 23.5 percent for 2013 increased to RMB 9.9 billion over the previous year (2012: RMB 8.082 billion). Major growth was recorded in its energy equipment segment- includes LNG trailers and tanks, which was reported to continuously show a ‘robust growth’. This was made possible thanks to the ongoing growth in global demand for equipment for the storage, transportation, distribution and vehicle application of natural gas, particularly in China. Also, modest growth was seen in the company’s chemical equipment segment, which includes tank containers for chemical liquids, liquefied gas and cryogenic liquids. The energy equipment segment continued to be the dominant segment of the group, with revenue rising by 25.8 percent to RMB 5.37 billion (2012: RMB 4.26 billion) and accounted for 53.8 percent of the group’s total turnover. LNG equipment was the main revenue contributor of this segment. Expansion plans To develop its technology, the group invested around RMB 145 million to the research and development (R&D) of new products and manufacturing technologies in 2013. Sizeable R&D activity was carried out in the energy equipment business and where LNG technologies are concerned in particular, conducted projects for LNG refuelling station systems, LNG refuelling barges, and LNG fuel vessels and supporting solutions. R&D was also carried out in the area of composite cylinders for hydrogen storage, and CNG-related applications. The chemical equipment arm focused on the development of tank containers for hazardous liquids, tank containers for liquefied gas, special tank containers and lightweight tank containers. The firm aims to expand its business into emerging markets, as well as natural-gas-rich countries like Russia and the US, and the group has set up representative offices in South-east Asia and a company in the US. It aims to build a broader footprint around the

Gas Energy Australia sees CNG scenario could help the country
Gas Energy Australia (GEA) CEO and Director, Mike Carmody is very enthusiastic about the local stakeholder’s plan to create a chain of CNG filling stations along Australia’s east coast. With the installment of sufficient CNG station, more NGV is expected to be adopted. This will help Australia obtain greater fuel security and reduce its carbon footprint. Mike Carmody, Gas Energy Australia (GEA) CEO and Director
Carmody’s statement was expressed following AGL Energy Limited’s announcement to begin rolling out new public and onsite CNG filling stations starting in Melbourne later this year. The stations will expand the range and use of CNG powered trucks. Hence, this will increase the demand for natural gas powered trucks, including LNG powered trucks. Lack of fuelling infrastructure has been slowing down the adoption of NGVs in a significant number. The construction of more natural gas filling facilities can boost demand for CNG trucks and improve their availability through manufacturers. According to John Beveridge in the Herald Sun, ‘the arguments for CNG are compelling’." AGL underlined that Australia also has a huge supply of natural gas, for around 184 years supply based on current production rates, according to the Federal Government’s 2012 Energy White Paper. However, looking at Aussie’s current energy usage pattern, there is a tendency to move towards becoming completely dependent on imported liquid fuel by 2030, according to the NRMA-commissioned report, Australia’s Liquid Fuel Security Part 2, released earlier this year. AGL’s CNG initiative could help the country avoiding the above-mentioned scenario.

LNG pricing scheme The role of gas in the global energy basket has been increasing since the past 30 years, in which LNG has become an integral aspect of the natural gas mix in recent years, especially within the Asian region. Paul Sullivan, the CEO of the 27th Gastech Conference & Exhibition in Korea said that both CNG and LNG provide a reliable alternative to traditional fuels. Both fuels can be obtained at discounted prices of up to 40 percent compared to diesel and petrol. The discounts depend on production and distribution issues, he added. In Asia, LNG is currently sold under an oil related pricing mechanism. The linkage of LNG and oil prices was designed “to reduce the amount of oil used in the power industry and to stop the pointless waste of associated gas being flared in various parts of the oil producing world,” said Sullivan. Although the oil-linked pricing is expected to continue to be dominantas supply contracts are long term of 10-20 years- the pricing scheme might be altered when US shale gas

enter the (export) market by around 2015. The current 10-20 years gas contracts involve 260 million tons per annum (MTPA) of global LNG supplies (traded using the current pricing scheme). Meanwhile, overall gas supplies are expected to reach 440 MTPA within a decade. Once the US begins exporting LNG in 2015, buyers might be able to buy gas based on the American natural-gas

Automakers in Indonesia to offer CNG variants To improve the adoption of natural gas in Indonesia, the government is considering introducing a regulation requiring car makers to install CNG converter kits in all their vehicles. The energy and resources, finance, transportation and industry ministries will make a joint statement regarding the new regulation, according to Wiratmaja Puja, an expert staff member for the Energy and Mineral Resources Minister who chairs the acceleration of oil-fuel to CNG conversion program. Incentives are planned to be issued. These would include exemption from the luxury goods tax, to allow cars with built-in converters to be sold at competitive prices, said Wiratmaja. At the initial stage public transportation and perhaps taxis would be prioritized to acquire and benefit from the CNG program. According to Wiratmaja, car producers support the plan. However, they asked for a transition period of between 12 to 16 months to implement the ruling. The government has been trying to reduce petrol consumption partly by encouraging the people to use other sources of energy such as CNG. The use of CNG would help the country reducing energy costs. Currently, subsidized fuel prices stand at Rp 6,500 per liter for premium or lowoctane petrol and Rp 5,500 for diesel, while CNG price for public transportation vehicles is set at Rp 3,100 per liter. Mohammad Hidayat Said, a director at the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry’s downstream oil and gas
division said that currently, the ministry and gas stakeholders are looking for the right pricing structure to make this business attractive while affordable for end consumers. Critics have said that the CNG price should be set higher to attract business players into the market. Pertamina vice president of technology Daniel Purba said the Rp 4,000 level would be attractive for business players. In general, CNG should be priced around 65-70 percent of petroleum prices to allow economic savings for vehicle operators. If subsidized premium petrol costs Rp6.500 a liter, then CNG should cost around Rp4,225 to Rp4,550 per liter equivalent premium petrol.
Indonesia’s NGV program was started in 1988. Up to know it shows a slow progress due to the insufficient
infrastructure (low number of filling station). By end 2013, there were 30 CNG stations and one mobile refueling unit (MRU), but most of them are concentrated in the Greater Jakarta area. The Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry has targeted on additional 29 gas stations and eight MRUs this year. The state budget will fund two new gas stations and one MRU of the total planned additions, while state owned oil and gas giant PT Pertamina will establish 4 gas stations and 8 ecostations. Publicly-listed gas distributor PT Perusahaan Gas Negara has also planned to establish nine gas stations and three MRUs in greater Jakarta areas. It will also build two gas stations in East Java, one in West Java and another in Riau.

Galileo breaks new record in CNG supply for power generation The Indonesian state-owned electricity company PT PLN has opened a new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Storage Facility in Muara Tawar, Bekasi, West Java, which is equipped with 16 Microbox® compressors supplied by Galileo. It is the biggest compression and storage facility built so far worldwide. As a result, it will provide 20 million standard cubic feet (mmscf) of natural gas per day, which will be used to generate 400 megawatts (MW) aimed to meet demand from Greater Jakarta customers during the peak-load periods. In addition, the CNG compressors will also store 80 billion British thermal units per day (bbtud) of gas for later use. Furthermore, PT PLN will save 157.62 million dollars by cutting back 203 thousand kiloliters of fuel oil per year. As the compression and CNG storage facility gets its maximum production capacity, the fuel oil will be eliminated and its consumption will be limited to emergencies. This fuel substitution will increase the savings and will imply a reduction of 350 tons in the annual emissions of sulfur dioxide (SO2).
Sixteen Microbox® CNG compressors installed in Muara Tawar will supply natural gas to meet electric demand from Greater Jakarta customers during the peak-load periods. Contact: GNC Galileo S.A. Av. A new CNG mother station for Indonesia PT PLN’s subsidiary PLN Batam has just started to use two Microbox® MX4 CNG compressors and four EMC dispensers to work as a mother station of a CNG marine distribution system, whose first customer is the power generation plant of Bintan Island, in the Riau Islands Province, Indonesia. This mother station is located in Panaran, Batam, Indonesia, and offers a flow rate of 2 x 3200 Sm3/h. On a daily basis, it will fill a 20 CNG tube skid that will allow for the replacement of the current power station fuel oil consumption, as well as savings worth 5 million dollars per year in power generation. PLN Batam distributes CNG among the insular populations of Indonesia by using Galileo's technology. PT PLN is the Indonesian state-owned electricity company.

Box-shaped pressure vessel for LNG developed by Korean KAIST Recently, Korean researchers successfully showcased the installation and operation of a box-shaped, highpressure tank for the storage of LNG in Pohang, Republic of Korea. The development was the first of its kind in the world. Pressure vessels have many applications and are widely used within the petrochemical, energy, and other industrial sectors where the transport and storage of many types of pressurized gases and fluids are essential. Pressure vessels must be designed, manufactured, installed, and operated strictly in accordance with the appropriate codes and standards since they can, in cases of leak or rupture, pose considerable health and safety hazards. Pressure vessels are normally designed in the form of a cylindrical or spherical tank. These shapes are, in principle, highly efficient in withstanding internal pressure, but rather inefficient in terms of space utilization. The tanks fit very poorly within a typically prismaticshaped room. They cannot be packed closely together, so they do not efficiently utilize the overall space. Moreover, cylindrical or spherical tanks are not easily scalable to very large sizes because the wall thickness of the tank must increase proportionally to its overall radius. Therefore, a large pressure vessel unavoidably will have very thick walls, which are difficult and expensive to manufacture, requiring a great amount of thick-walled steel to be rolled, forged, and welded together.
Above is a container ship having a box-shaped pressure vessel as a fuel tank, and below are traditional cylindrical fuel tanks.
This image shows a lattice pattern that is lined inside a prismatic pressure tank.
KAIST researchers, sponsored by POSCO, a multinational steel-making company based in Pohang, Republic of Korea, have taken a turnabout approach to construct a pressure vessel that is neither cylindrical nor spherical. Professors Pål G. Bergan and Daejun Chang and of Ocean Systems Engineering at KAIST developed a box-type, large size pressure vessel for the storage and transportation of liquids such as liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), compressed natural gas (CNG), or liquefied natural gas (LNG).
This is a photo of the prototype of a box-shaped pressure tank.
May 2014
17
The box-shaped pressure vessel has an internal, load-carrying lattice-type structure. The lattice pattern is modular in all three spatial directions, thereby effectively anchoring and balancing pressure forces on the external walls of the vessel. The modular lattice can easily be adapted to prescribed pressure levels as the overall volumetric dimensions are directly linked to the number of repetitive modules. A giant prismatic pressure vessel with a size of 20,000 m3 and a design pressure of 10 atmospheres (10 barg) can be built simply by scaling up a smaller size pressure vessel. It is interesting to note that the thickness of steel walls remains unchanged and that the weight of steel per unit storage volume goes down as the vessel size increases. Professor Chang explained the benefit of a prismatic or box-shaped pressure vessel. "If we use cylindrical pressure vessels to supply LNG fuel for a large container ship, for example, many fuel tanks will be needed. Those tanks will take up large and valuable space onboard
because the cylinders have to be lined up. In our case, however, much less space is needed. The operation of a ship becomes simpler with one fuel tank rather than with many.
significant savings of combined capital and operational costs. Professor Bergan was also upbeat regarding the impact of the KAIST technology innovation.
Furthermore, our box-type pressure vessel can be designed with dimensions that precisely fit a ship. For a container ship, there may be room for a substantially higher number of containers to be loaded than when using cylindrical vessels.
"Our box-type pressure vessel represents ground-breaking research. This innovative technology will dramatically change the rules of the game for industry concerning production, transportation, and storage of fluids under high pressure and at low temperatures."
In a case study on a 13,000 TEU container ship, the value of the increased transport capacity tuned out USD 8.4 million for one year of operation for one ship." The manufacturing cost of a pressure vessel has been reduced as well.
The showcased prismatic pressure vessel was a scale-down model with a volume size of 80 m3 and design pressure of 10 atmospheres. The vessel complies with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC), the international standard for the appropriateness of design, fabrication, and inspection of boilers and pressure vessels. It passed the 15 pressure testing in January 2014 and received an accreditation from the ASME BPVC (ASME U2 Stamp).
Several types of special steel for cryogenic (low temperature) applications have been investigated in design and analysis studies, and this includes a new type of high-manganese steel that is being developed by POSCO. Regardless of materials, in any instance of large pressure vessels, the new lattice tank technology can offer

World's first LNG-powered cargo vessel begins trial in eastern China It has started testing waters in the port city of Zhangjiagang in Jiangsu Province, according to the Chinese shipbuilder Tsuji Heavy Industries Shipyard. The 5,000 dwt ocean-going cargo vessel is expected to be delivered to Nor Lines AS, a Norwegian logistics and shipping company, in June 2014. It is one of two LNG-fueled vessels ordered by Nor Lines in 2011. Tsuji Heavy Industries started building this first ship in August 2012 but did not reveal yet when the second ship will be manufactured. The ship's design was developed by Rolls-Royce Maritime using the group's award-winning "Environmental Ship Concept," which won the "Next Generation Award" at the Nor-Shipping Awards in 2011.
Kamaz will manufacture new NGV engine Last month, the Russian company and Liebherr-International AG signed an agreement in Germany for the development of next generation inline natural gas and diesel engines, which will be used in a new series of Kamaz trucks and buses, as well as in stationary diesel and gas generators. This reinforces and adds detail to the initial cooperation agreement signed at the end of 2013. Kamaz will set up state-of-the-art production facilities in Naberezhnye Chelny, Russia, for manufacturing the engines. AGL will develop CNG station network across the east coast of Australia The initiative was unveiled at the International Truck, Trailer and Equipment Show in Melbourne and, according to AGL Managing Director Michael Fraser, the company will use its 176 years’ experience in energy to develop a viable and competitive fuel offering for the transport industry. The new public and on-site refueling stations and will be suited for dedicated commercial trucks and vehicles. “A rising proportion of our road transport sector is fueled by foreign crude and fuel imports, increasing from 60 percent in 2000 to over 90 percent today. Diversifying our fuel mix and building an alternative fuels industry locally is part of the solution,” said Fraser. “This announcement represents an important step towards bolstering Australia’s alternative transport fuel capacity. We hope will not only help Australian businesses become more competitive and productive, but also contribute to the nation’s longer term energy security.” AGL is scheduled to develop the national CNG public refueling infrastructure, starting in Melbourne this year. The stations are planned to be located in key geographical areas, enabling fleets to refuel without altering their routes. The company also aims to establish AGL Smart CNG as a
long-term, viable and widely available fuel for commercial customers. This latest technology was launched at the international trucking show in Melbourne by Michael Fraser and The Hon Russell Northe MP, Victorian Minister for Energy and Resources and Minister for Small Business. Source: AGL
Black & Veatch and Chemtex team up to design and build an LNG plant in China The new facility will be located in Langzhong, and the LNG will be used to provide fuel for vehicles and spur economic growth in the region. It will produce 35 mmscfd (million standard cubic feet per day) of LNG and is based on Black & Veatch’s patented PRICO® technology. This company will also provide commissioning, start-up and other engineering services. Chemtex, as the prime contractor, will provide lump-sum engineering, procurement and construction services. “For just over five years, working closely with Chemtex, we have helped developers in China commercialize natural gas resources, many in difficult to access or remote locations,” said Edward Zhou, Business Development Director of Black & Veatch’s oil and gas business in China. “The LNG industry in China continues to gain significant momentum as a result of the need for cleaner, combustible fuel
alternative increases.” A push for smog-free air is spearheading China’s role as one of the biggest players in the global trade for LNG. In an effort to curb pollution, the Government is trying to reduce its reliance on coal and turning to natural gas as a reliable alternative. China is the third largest importer of LNG and consumes 6 per cent of the global LNG trade.
“As China continues to focus on LNG as an alternative clean fuel source, we look forward to working with Black & Veatch to bring us one step closer to meeting the Government’s goal to provide clean natural gas based fuel across China,” said Sean Ma, Chemtex China’s CEO. Indonesia: Pertagas embarks on project to commercialize LNG as marine fuel The subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas PT Pertamina is preparing to increase its gas sales by moving into the sea transportation market, as it has signed an agreement with shipping firm PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (Pelni) to conduct a study on the possible use of LNG for Pelni’s vessels. Late last year, Pertagas was part of a partnership to carry out a pilot project promoting the usage of LNG as fuel for mining vehicles. “We want to make this agreement a breakthrough in [encouraging] the implementation of LNG. Pertagas is quite confident in the marine industry after our successful collaboration with the mining industry,” said Pertagas president Hendra Jaya. “First, we have to determine how to supply the vessels and secure the needed infrastructure, and we also have to take a look at Pelni vessels’ capacity to use LNG.” Pelni’s fleet uses around 220 million kiloliters of fuel annually, accounting for around 65 percent of the company’s operational expenses. The firm expects that LNG will help cut its fuel costs and to use the savings to purchase vessels or improve other facilities, reported The Jakarta Post.
LNG usage is also expected to reduce the marine sector’s dependency on oil. Currently, most of Pelni’s fleet and fishing boats use subsidized fuel. “We are hoping for a positive result from the study so that other sea transportation companies will use LNG in the future,” said Pelni’s president Syahril Japarin.
Seoul City Government, near to complete transition of 8,750 diesel buses to NGVs The total replacement would be accomplished upon switching 13 more this year, according to Seoul Metropolitan Government. Since the project to replace diesel with CNG, which is expected to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions by two thirds, started in 2002 as many as 10,376 vehicles -including city buses, town buses, garbage trucks and tourist buses- have been substituted with NGV models on a budget of 350 billion won (US$3.3 billion). According to the city’s Eco-friendly Transportation Manager, Kang Huieun, the government will continue to encourage and provide natural gaspowered vehicles. “CNG buses have contributed to improving the air quality in Seoul,” he said. In order to stimulate fuel-efficient and clean natural gas hybrid buses, Seoul also plans to give priority to subsidies and other incentives for the operators upon purchasing these units. Compared to conventional CNG
buses, CNG hybrids can reduce the fuel costs by 34.5 percent. If 2,235 natural gas buses currently in operation in Seoul were replaced with CNG hybrids, 240 billion won would be saved for nine years. This year, the Seoul Metropolitan Government plans to supply 260 more
vehicles including city buses, town buses and garbage trucks. The beneficiaries of the local government subsidy are the bus operators, charter bus operators, local governments and some selected sanitation contractors located in Seoul, reported Korea Bizwire.

OEM Page Delhi metro operator and Tata Marcopolo Starbus Ultra CNG The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has a sizable fleet of minibuses to be used as last mile transport solution for the people who commute by Delhi Metro rails. The feeder service plies on number of State Transport Authority (STA) approved routes, each one not exceeding 10 km. DMRC has earlier announced that it will add 400 buses to its fleet to operate across 80 routes by the end of 2013 but the project has been delayed. However, the testing of the mini buses has commenced. A Tata Marcopolo Starbus Ultra 25-seater minibus, built according to the DMRC requirements, was seen during the trial. According to DMRC, the new fleet will consist of 300 low-floor (650 mm) 25-seater buses and 100 regular (900 mm) 25-seater buses. Tata Marcopolo’s product portfolio neither has a Starbus Ultra in 25 seat configuration nor a CNG version but it seems the automaker has made an exception for DMRC because of the number of orders. The minibus is equipped with a 3.8-litre direct gas injection water-cooled CNG unit which produces 85 PS of power and 270 Nm of torque. The engine is likely to be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The vehicle can transport 37 passengers (2 staff, 25 sitting and 10 standing passengers).

Workshops program Improving the political & regulatory framework To study and discuss the experiences carried out by different countries and cities, referred to any type of action related with NGVs: taxation, air quality, incentives, specific regulations, etc. Real examples given by the persons in charge will help the audience to understand the best examples to follow.
Vehicles & engines technologies Most of the NGVs registered now in Europe are new vehicles developed and produced by their OEMs. We want to find out what is coming next, now in development. Product plans and ideas of the car, trucks and bus producers with the current Euro VI limits coming this year for new homologations and next for new registrations, also now with an special focus to the maritime sector.
Customer Experiences The key actor and definitive judge in any value chain is the final user. And the user has to be satisfied with the product to guarantee its development and progress. This is the reason of this workshop that will focus on hearing the testimonies of the big fleets’ managers, covering cars (taxis), light distribution trucks, urban buses and LNG heavy trucks, with an special focus on the examples of public transport fleets.
Fuel Infrastructure At the upstream end of the gas distribution chain, there is the gas production, which now is splitting into conventional and non-conventional (shale gas). On the other hand we have more and more biogas plants using biomass from different sources. The gas production spectrum is becoming wider and this workshop intends to deepen into the understanding of the various possibilities and alternatives.
