ITINERARY: BEIJING- ARRIVAL (-/-/D) DAY 1 Upon arrival in Beijing, meet your guide and transfer to hotel. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel. BEIJING (B/L/D) DAY 2 Breakfast at hotel. In the morning, visit the Tian An Men square and the Forbidden City, the former residence of the Ming and Qing emperors. Then,
ascend Coal Hill from where you will discover a nice bird's eye view over Beijing. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the Temple of Heaven with its outstanding round shape, covered by an exquisite triple roof of blue tiles. This is where the Emperor used to pray for good harvests. Have famous Beijing Roast Duck for dinner. Overnight at hotel. BEIJING (B/L/D) DAY 3 Breakfast at hotel. One full day excursion to the Great Wall (Ju Yong Guang section), and visit the Chang Ling Tomb of the Ming Tombs. Enjoy a walk along the Sacred Path leading to the necropolis. In the evening, attend a Beijing Opera performance. Lunch and dinner at local restaurants. Overnight at hotel. BEIJING - XIAN (B/L/D) DAY 4 Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport for a flight to Xian and transfer to the hotel. Visit the City Wall, Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Great Mosque. In the evening, take a tour of Muslim Street. Lunch at local restaurant. The local specialty Dumpling Banquet is served in the evening. Overnight at hotel.
XIAN (B/L/D) DAY 5 Breakfast at hotel. Full day excursion to the First Emperor's famous Terra Cotta Army. On the way, stop at Banpo Neolithic Site and visit its interesting exhibition. In the evening, enjoy Tang Dynasty Dancing Show. Lunch and dinner at local restaurants. Overnight at hotel. XIAN - CHENGDU (B/L/D) DAY 6 In the morning fly to Chengdu, upon arrival, meet your guide and visit Dufu Temple, Du Jiang Dam build thousands years ago. Lunch and dinner at local restaurants. Overnight at hotel. CHENGDU - LHASA (B/L/D) DAY 7 Take a morning flight to Lhasa, upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to hotel to take rest for acclimatization of the high altitude. Lunch and dinner at local restaurants. Overnight at hotel.
LHASA (B/L/D) DAY 8 Breakfast at hotel. City sightseeing in Lhasa covers Potala Palace, a vast white and ochre fortress that used to be the residence of the Dalai Lama and the seat of Tibetan Government and is Tibet's greatest architectural achievement and spiritual symbol. Jokhang temple, the most revered religious structure in Tibet, and a highlight of a visit to Lhasa has got to be the circuit ambulation of the Jokhang Temple. stroll in the famous local bazaar - Parkhor street. Lunch and dinner at local restaurants. Overnight at Hotel. LHASA (B/L/D) DAY 9 Breakfast at hotel. Tour in Lhasa of Drepung Monastery, which was once the world's largest monastery, with a population of around 10,000 monks. The word Drepung literally translates into "rice heap", a reference to the huge numbers of white monastic buildings that once piled up on the hillside. In the afternoon, drive to Sera monastery, situated 4 km north of Lhasa. The monastery was founded in 1419 and has always been an important Buddhist seminary. It is here that the monks' famous daily debates take place at 3:30 pm. Sky burials are still occasionally practiced at Sera. Also visit the Summer Palace of Dalai Lama, Norbulingka. LHASA - YAMDROK TSO LAKE - LHASA (B/L/D) DAY 10 Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Yamdrok Tso Lake, the lake lies several hundred meters below the road, and in clear weather is a fabulous shade of deep turquoise. It is one of the four holy lakes of Tibet, and the home of wrathful deities. Walk on the lakeside to enjoy the natural beauty. Drive back to Lhasa in the late afternoon. Lunch en route. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at Hotel.
LHASA - CHENGDU - GUILIN (B/L/D) DAY 11 Breakfast at hotel. In the morning, transfer to airport for flight to Chengdu and a connecting flight to Guilin. Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to hotel. Lunch and dinner at a local restaurants. GUILIN (B/L/D) DAY 12 Breakfast at hotel. Full day visit to the Reed Flute Cave and the Seven Star Park, the Fubo Hill and Elephant Hill to get a stunning view of the surroundings and the landscapes which inspired so many painters in China. Lunch and dinner at a local restaurants. Overnight at hotel. GUILIN – YANGSHUO (B/L/D) DAY 13 Breakfast at hotel. Enjoy a cruise on Li River through amazing landscapes of limestone peaks to the village of Yangshuo. Lunch will be served on board. Time in the small town to stroll about in the streets and local market. Enjoy the landscape of rice-paddies and orange tree plantations. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel.
YANGSHUO - GUILIN-SHANGHAI (B/L/D) DAY 14 Breakfast at hotel. Drive back to Guilin and take a morning flight to Shanghai and meet your guide and sightsee the Bund and Nanjing Road. Take a boat tour in the night to see Huang Pu River and it's Bund. Lunch and dinner at local restaurants. Overnight at hotel. SHANGHAI (B/L/D) DAY 15 Breakfast at hotel. Visit the Old Town of the city, the Jade Buddha Temple and the Mandarin Yu Garden, then to Shopping. Lunch and the Farewell Dinner are served at local restaurant followed by an acrobatic show. Overnight at hotel.
SHANGHAI - DEPARTURE (B/-/-) DAY 16 Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport for departure flight to next destination.
