Transport Division The Charles Russell Group operates a modern fleet comprising of specialist vehicles and trailers that are capable of lifting and moving all types and sizes of cargo, ranging from palletised goods to valuable items of machinery and hi-tech equipment, throughout the UK and Europe.

Our Transport division fleet consists of the following: • Straight and step frame Euroliner curtainsiders for carrying various types of cargo ranging from palletised goods to valuable items of machinery and high-tec equipment measuring up to 3.3m wide and 3.1m high. The versatility of these trailers allows loading by crane from above and also side and rear loading by forklift. • Self-Load Lorry and Trailer Mounted Crane Vehicles that are capable of lifting and transporting loads up to 30 tonnes. • Semi-Low Ramp Trailers for wheeled and tracked plant. • Extendable Semi-Low trailers up to 27 metres in length. • Extendable Low loader trailers up to 20 metres in length. Lifting and Handling Division The Charles Russell Lifting and Handling division has earned an enviable reputation for the global movements and handling of valuable items of machinery, plant and hi-tec equipment. Every enquiry we receive will be dealt with by our operations team, who all have many years of on-site experience and fully understand customer requirements and the standards they expect when dealing with their project albeit a single machine move or complete facility relocation.

Our standard project protocol: • Site visit by designated project manager to discuss customers’ requirements. • Detailed quotations. • SHEQ compliant and Project Specific Risk assessments, method statements and lift plans. • Regular communication with client on project progress. Our operations team continually support the on-site Supervisors and their teams to ensure all projects are conducted safely, on time and within budget. Our passionate skilled workforce has many years of experience in the lifting and handling of valuable machinery and hi-tech equipment. Our fully qualified on-site teams consist of Lifting Appointed Persons, Lift Supervisors, Riggers, Mechanical Lifting Plant Operators and Specialist HGV Drivers. All of our workforce are trained to the highest of standards and are regularly updated on any changes or new H&S law and legislations associated with their trades. Our teams are fully equipped with a wide range of specialist lifting and handling equipment that makes any project, regardless of circumstances or size, achievable.

“The Miraculous Journey” from the UK Foundry to Sidra Medical and Research Centre in Doha This logistics and installation project took three years to be completed. The fourteen sculptures varied from 5 to 11 metres in height and weighed between 15 to 26 tonnes each.
