2010 Los Angeles This is a Chronological Record of New/Changes in the Market January 4, 2010 - Carson Daly returns to his roots in Southern California radio as he joins 97.1 AMP Radio (KAMP) for morning drive. His four-hour program from 6 to 10 a.m. will be heard on-air, online and on myriad mobile devices, including the iPhone and Blackberry. Daly was previously on the air in L.A. when he did nights on KROQ. Daly joins an air staff that already includes Booker in middays, Stryker in afternoons and Casey McCabe at night. January 5, 2010 – Voice of the Anaheim Angels on flagship station KLAA-AM Rory Markas died suddenly of a heart attack. His replacement has not been named. January 5, 2010 – Rush Limbaugh, syndicated on KFI-AM, returns to the air after a health scare last week. He missed only 2 days of regular programming. January 8, 2010 - Paul Goldstein is out as PD at CBS Smooth AC KTWV (94.7 THE WAVE)/LOS ANGELES. He's replaced by sister Classic Hits KRTH (K-EARTH 101) PD Jhani Kaye who will now oversee both stations. January 11, 2010 -- KFWB is dropping afternooner Rodger Hedgecock and replacing him with a news block from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Co-anchoring the new drive time show will be Maggie McKay and Michael Shappee. On KFWB as well, Dr. Laura Schlessinger’s noon – 1 p.m. hour will be repeated from 3 p.m. – 4 p.m. “Since people have called and written and said they don’t always catch the entire program because they’re in and out of their cars, headed to lunch, etc., KFWB is going to add the 'Dr. Laura Rewind' at 3 p.m. Tim Conway, Jr. is the new night-time host at KFI, beginning January 18. He replaces Bryan Suits who returns to Seattle for a soon-to-be disclosed project. Suits will continue at KFI with his weekend show, ‘The Dark Secret Place.’ Tim will keep his Saturday 4-7pm show on KFI. January 26, 2010 – With Air America programming being shuttled, KTLK is beginning to made changes to the line-up to fill the holes. Beginning this afternoon from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Clark Howard will be added to the line-up. “You might be asking yourself, ‘Self, how progressive can a consumer advice guru like Clark Howard be?!’ asked KTLK pd Robin Bertolucci rhetorically. “The answer is I have no idea

about Clark's politics. His show is not political. It has a broader lifestyle appeal and that's the whole point.” Mike Malloy will now be on from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. and Phil Hendrie will be LIVE from 10 p.m. – 1 a.m. Doug McIntyre is back on KABC 790 Talk with Red Eye Radio from midnight to 3AM, effective Monday February 8. February 12, 2010 -- Bill Handel is giving up his KFI noon show beginning February 22 and will be replaced by Canadian Bill Carroll in the noon – 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. PD Robin Bertolucci says “Bill Carroll is a wonderful find! He is smart, articulate and one of the best storytellers in radio.” February 22, 2010 -- Jennifer Ferro, who currently serves as assistant general manager of public radio station KCRW (since 1997), has been named the new general manager. Over the weekend the SMC Board of Trustees approved the selection of Ferro, who begins her new position March 1. Ferro succeeds Ruth Seymour, who is retiring Friday after running KCRW for 32 years and building it into a powerhouse National Public Radio affiliate with a global audience. March 1, 2010 - Stryker moves from afternoons at AMP RADIO to afternoons at KROQ. Stryker joined KROQ in March 1999 as night time personality, eventually moving to afternoon drive and later co-hosting Loveline. For a year, Stryker was the dj on the Ellen Show. KROQ’s new line-up includes Kevin & Bean Mornings from 5:30 – 10 a.m.; Kat Corbett 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.; Sluggo 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.; Stryker 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.; Nicole Alvarez 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.; and Loveline with Dr. Drew 10 p.m. – midnight. At the same time, Michelle Boros joins KAMP for middays. She was pd and afternoon host for XM 20 on 20. She will take over the midday slot on AMP (weekdays, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.) beginning Monday. Booker (now in middays) moves to the afternoon slot. Carson Daly remains in AMD. March 1, 2010 – KCSN (Cal State U at Northridge’s radio station) is switching to a AAA format this morning at 10am. The AAA will run 24 hours on weekdays. They will continue to run their current schedule of volunteer programming from Friday evening at 9 through Sunday night. Their classical programming and student newscasts are moving to HD-2 and going 24 hours. KFWB will be making a personality flip on March 15. Dave Ramsey will move to the 9 a.m. to noon slot while Laura Ingraham moves to 10 p.m. – 1 a.m. KSPN is debuting a live and local spots talk show, “In the Zone”, featuring Brian Long and A. Martinez, beginning April 5. The new program will be broadcast from 6p-9p and will originate from the ESPN Zone in downtown Los Angeles. In addition, KSPN will drop an hour off the Colin Cowherd morning show as part of programming changes at the ESPN Radio Network. As a result, “LA Sports Live” will begin an hour earlier (10a-2p) and “Mason and Ireland” will shift to 2p-6p.

Art Astor properties in the Inland Empire and North San Diego County KSPA (1510AM) and KFSD (1450AM) will simulcast as much as possible, but in any case with similar line ups to create “Southern California Talk” debuting March 15. The two stations will packaged with one of CRN’s Satellite channels. KSPA lineup starts at 3 a.m. with Mancow. At 6 a.m. Laura Ingraham will be heard live, giving Inland Empire listeners an opportunity to call in. From 9 a.m. – 11 a.m., ‘What’s Cooking Today,’ a lifestyle program hosted by Horn, Paul Stern, Jack Roberts and Erik Hines. Rotating guest hosts include Geoff Edwards and Gary Owens. ‘Talk Back’ will air from 11 a.m. to noon with Chuck Wilder, former co-host with George Putnam. Dr. Laura Schlessinger will air from noon to 3 p.m. followed by controversial Michael Savage in afternoon drive. Rusty Humphries takes on 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Following Rusty from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. will be the PM Show with Horn and actor Robert Conrad. At 10 p.m., Doug McIntyre’s Red-Eye Radio will be heard live for four hours, followed by Barry Farber from 2 a.m. – 3 a.m. Both stations will feature CNN newscasts. March 12, 2010 - Dr. Drew Pinsky’s ‘Loveline’ show on KROQ was moved from 10 p.m. to midnight to midnight – 2 a.m. Monday thru Thursday and will continue to run in its original 10 p.m. - 12 midnight slot on Sundays. Psycho Mike, part of the Kevin & Bean KROQ morning show, is his new co-host. April 5, 2010 - 710 ESPN (KSPN) and AM 830 KLAA, Wednesday announced a new partnership that allows listeners of KLAA the opportunity to hear some of ESPN Radio’s national weekday programming, while 710 ESPN has agreed to simulcast at least 60 Angels games this season. Angels broadcasts will continue to be produced by AM 830. National ESPN programming will originate from ESPN Radio studios in Bristol, CT. "The Sports Lodge with Rodger Lodge" weekday morning program will continue to be broadcast from the studios at AM 830 KLAA and KTLA Channel 5. 710 ESPN programming originates from the L.A. LIVE studios across from the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles. 710 ESPN programming content will be the responsibility of Larry Gifford, program director. AM 830 KLAA will continue to be operated under the direction of station President, Dennis Kuhl. The new AM 830 KLAA weekday programming line-up includes (Times PST): 3 – 7 a.m. Mike & Mike in the Morning 7 – 10 a.m. The Sports Lodge with Roger Lodge 10 a.m.– 1 p.m. The Scott Van Pelt Show 1 – 4 p.m. The Doug Gottlieb Show 4 - 5 p.m. Ridin’ Dirty 5 – 6 p.m. Angels On Air 6 – 7 p.m. Angels Pregame 7 – 10 p.m. Angels Baseball 10 – 11 p.m. Angels Postgame

The following is the new 710 ESPN Weekday Line-up as of April 5, 2010: 3 - 7 a.m. Mike & Mike in the Morning 7 -10 a.m. The Herd with Colin Cowherd 10 a.m. -2 p.m. L.A. Sports Live with Mychal Thompson and Andrew Siciliano 2 - 6 p.m. Mason & Ireland 6 – 9 p.m. In the Zone with Martinez & Long (Live from ESPN ZONE at LA LIVE) 9 – 10 p.m. SportsCenter Nightly 10 p.m. – 2 a.m. AllNight with Jason Smith 2 - 3 a.m. SportsCenter AM May 1, 2010 - ‘Bebop and More’ debuts on KKJZ-FM with the music of Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonious Monk and Charlie Parker, hosted by Paul James and LeRoy Downs on weekend evenings. “Radio Deluxe with John Pizzarelli” moves from Sunday to Tuesday evenings at 7pm. The Sunday programs “Jazz at Lincoln Center Radio with Wynton Marsalis” and “Jazz Inspired with Judy Carmichael” will no longer be broadcast on KKJZ. May 10, weekday DJ line-up will shuffle on KSWD, the Sound: 5:30 AM thru 10@10 will feature Larry Morgan in what’s called “No silly morning show,” but a great morning companion. 10:45 AM to 3 PM features Andy Chanley, first DJ on staff. Now Andy’s smart, personable style will help garner listen-at-work loyalty. 3 PM to 7 PM features Julie Slater who will entertain with her fun, energetic, enthusiasm. 7 PM to Midnight featuring Mike Powers moves an hour earlier from 8P to 7P. On Monday, May 17, Kim Amidon, former morning drive co-host at KOST for over two decades, will partner with Pat Prescott as the hosts of the morning drive show on KTWV, “The WAVE.”. Multi-platinum R&B recording artist Brian McKnight will leave the day-to-day grind of hosting a morning radio show. Don Burns, longtime afternoon drive host (recorded, not live) on KTWV leaves the slot effective Friday, May 21. Replacement is yet to be named. May 19, 2010 -- Damien Fahey, longtime host of MTV's TRL (he replaced Carson Daly who is now doing mornings at competing AMP RADIO), is joining KIIS-FM as weekend and fill-in. May 21, 2010 -- Songwriter and American Idol judge Kara DiGioGuardi gets her own weekend airshift Saturday afternoons from 2-6 p.m. on KBIG (104.3 MyFM). June 29, 2010 -- Charlie Cook's duties as Senior Program Director at KKGO-FM (Go Country105.1) have been eliminated, and Saul Levine, gm at KKGO and Tonya Campos (music director and middays) will be in charge of the KKGO ‘Go Country’ programming department.

July 6, 2010 - Syndicated talk show host Glenn Beck joins mornings at KRLA. Current AM drive host Michael Gallagher moves to 5-8PM slot. Following Beck, the KRLA schedule is: Dennis Prager (9 a.m. – noon), Michael Medved (noon – 3 p.m.) and Hugh Hewitt (3 p.m. – 5 p.m.). During the all-night hours, The Best of Dennis Prager will run 1 a.m. – 3 p.m. followed by Bill Bennett from 3 a.m. – 5 a.m. The Wall Street Journal This Morning runs from 5 a.m. – 6 a.m. July 12, 2010 - Jack Silver named Operations Manager and Program Director of KABC, replacing David G. Hall who departs to concentrate on his consultancy business. Silver moves over from CBS where he had been working with KRTH and KTWV in sales. Jack Silver rejoins Bob Moore (KABC president/gm) after they had a long run together at KLSX for 11 years. August 6 -- Salem’s KXMX (1190AM) is being sold to Korean Gospel Broadcasting Network, Inc. No sales price has been released. The station has been a multi-ethnic, brokered time AM station. The station had programs in Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, and Vietnamese. August 9, 2010 – The new afternoon host for KBIG (MyFm) signed on today. Ty moves to LA radio from Chicago. August 23, 2010 - Teresa Strasser joined Peter Tilden on the KABC morning show. She was part of the Adam Carolla morning show at the FM Talk Station, KLSX, from 2006 until a format flip to AMP RADIO on 2.20.09. August 25, 2010 – Radio broadcasting veteran and longtime voice of the L.A. Lakers, Lawrence Tanter, has been named Director of Programming for KKJZ-FM “KJazz” 88.1, station management announced today. The move marks a reunion for Tanter with Saul Levine, president of Mt. Wilson FM Broadcasters, Inc. and general manager of KKJZ. A 38-year veteran of the Los Angeles radio market, Tanter has held numerous local programming and announcing posts, including with Levine’s KJAZ. September 13, 2010 - Larry Gifford has resigned his position at ESPN Radio as program director of 710 ESPN (KSPN-AM), Los Angeles after 4 years at the helm. September 7, 2010 – Jeff Pollack, chairman and CEO of Pollack Media Group, has been named programming consultant of KKGO-FM “Go Country 105,” station management announced today. September 20, 2010 - Madeleine Brand hosts a new daily news program at KPCC mornings at 9 a.m. The Madeleine Brand Show will include newsmaker and personality interviews, produced news reports, live updates from reporters on the street, regular contributors discussing a wide range of topics of interest, and stories about the way we live here in Southern California. September 21, 2010 - KKGO, "Go Country," recently brought on radio consultants, the Jeff Pollack Group. Music was adjusted almost immediately and now

a shake-up in shifts. Ginny Harmon takes over morning drive. Former morning driver, Shawn Parr, moves to middays, while former middayer Tonya Campos will devote full-time to programming responsibilities and voicetrack the evening show. Paul Freeman remains unchanged in afternoons. September 22, 2010- KQIE (Q104.7fm) is pumping out the hits, in fact, 10,000 in a row without commercial interruption, as the station launches its Top 40 format in the Inland Empire (Riverside-San Bernardino Radio Metro) and Los Angeles DMA. The signal is the old KDES-FM from Palm Springs. The tower was moved to Redlands (its legal city of license) by new owners y Point Broadcasting Company's subsidiary LC Media LP. Roy Laughlin (former GM of KIIS-FM) is the managing director. Frosty/Heidi & Frank will exit KABC middays when their contract is up October 1, 2010. They will be replaced by Larry Elder who returns to the Talk station in the 9 a.m. – noon slot. October 18, 2010 – Mike Thompson has been named PD at KSPN, 710 ESPN in Los Angeles, overseeing all aspects of programming, talent development, and the station’s play-by-play of the Los Angeles Lakers, USC football and men’s basketball, and AM 830 KLAA (The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim). He will also work on integrating the station’s digital site into the framework of 710 ESPN. October 19, 2010 - Jay Coffey, former pd and personality at K-EARTH, returns to LA Radio beginning Monday morning in AM drive at KKGO ("Go Country"). November 24, 2010 - 710 ESPN announces Dave Shore as Operations Manager for 710 ESPN in Los Angeles, beginning December 15, 2010. As Operations Manager, Shore will assist in the organization and development of 710 ESPN along with the integration of AM 830 KLAA and ESPNLA.com into a cohesive content outlet under the ESPN Los Angeles division. In addition, Dave will have on-air responsibilities for both radio stations. Dave has held the same position at other Disney ESPN radio outlets around the country.
