Welcome and thank you! Welcome to the first of our annual Donor Recognition Reports - an opportunity to thank our many donors who continue to make a significant contribution to an increasingly successful fundraising campaign that has seen the college secure over £13million during the past four years. Many of our supporters - as alumni, parents, friends, charitable trusts & foundations and government agencies - help create a strong and sustainable annual scholarship programme at UWC Atlantic College. It allows us to bring students from areas such as Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Israel, Palestine, Ukraine, Malawi, Laos, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Belize, Costa Rica, Ethiopia, Haiti and Uruguay to study here at St Donat’s Castle and, as such, is a dynamic reflection of the college’s mission in action and of its continued and increasing relevance. Others contribute to the development and improvement of the college campus, as an ambitious and exciting long-term project that complements our scholarship programme and is a vital part of the college’s future development.

We already celebrate cumulative or lifetime giving, with Honour Boards located in the college’s Great Hall in the Castle that are designed to recognise our Keepers of the Castle, Honorary Benefactors and Benefactors. This report also acknowledges Annual Giving, being all gifts received in the financial year August 2014 - July 2015. Every gift is important to us; it is a collective vote of support for all that UWC Atlantic College represents. Long may it continue! Million Dollar Match Davis-UWC IMPACT programme Join us and Invest in more UWC Atlantic College Scholarships Shelby M C Davis has launched the Davis-UWC IMPACT programme across the 15 UWC colleges. This new UWC match-funding incentive, valued at US$15 million, is designed as leverage to encourage and increase alumni and parent giving. The current 15 UWC colleges will each benefit from a US$1 million total match programme PROVIDED individual colleges register an overall increase in the number of alumni and/or parents making gifts compared to the previous year. This means that, from 1st August 2015, all eligible donations will be match funded by Shelby Davis.

How does gift matching work? To qualify for this matching funding, UWC Atlantic College must register a minimum of 1,121 donors in 2015/2016. Once we reach that number, all eligible gifts will be matched.

How much will each gift be matched? If you haven’t made a gift to the college in the last three years, your gift will be matched 100%. If you have made a donation in the last three years your donation will be matched 50%. One of UWC Atlantic College’s greatest strengths is the robust scholarship programme that changes the lives of so many students each year. The intention of the matched funding is to increase support for scholarships. To make this possible, please make a gift to be part of this incredible matched giving opportunity and double the impact of your gift at the same time.
