Dear Parents / Carers, We are delighted to report that the year 6 children have achieved very good results in the end of key stage 2 national tests this year. The results for our school are as follows: Reading - Level 4+ 89 % level 5 55 % Writing - Level 4+ 88 % level 5 30 % Maths - Level 4+ 93 % level 5 48% These results are better, in all areas, than the national picture for 2012. As usual the children have given their best and we would like to congratulate all of them on their individual achievements. We would also like to give thanks and recognition to all the staff who have given tirelessly to support the children in achieving such good results. Our recent OPEN evening was a superb opportunity for the staff and children to show case their work from this year. It was great to see so many parents at this event—as the children do love to show off their work. With only few weeks to go, I would like to thank all parents for their continued support over the year— as with all things when working together we can certainly achieve more. We are very lucky to have an excellent staff team who are truly committed to providing high quality learning opportunities for the children—and I’m sure you will join me in thanking them for their continued hard work over the year. Katherine Marshall
