PROCESS

GRADUATES James Armstrong The University of Newcastle Mechanical Engineering

“Bradken has provided me with an amazingly diverse range of opportunities and experiences beyond the expectations of my young career. Since starting with Bradken as a scholarship student in 2006 I have fulfilled the role of a Design Engineer receiving broad experience in different areas of engineering, travelled locally and internationally and having the opportunity to be involved in many large projects for the business. However, the biggest highlight of my time with Bradken so far has been my nomination and subsequent winning of the Young Employee of the Year award in 2011.”

Joel Smith The University of Newcastle Chemical Engineering

“I studied chemical engineering at university as part of a cadetship with Bradken. During this time and since, Bradken has allowed me to get in-field experience, work with cutting edge technology, see world’s best manufacturing practices in action and work on exciting and innovative projects. Bradken has also provided continued training opportunities enabling me to work towards my future career goals.”

Nikola Kojic The University of Newcastle Commerce/Accounting

“Bradken has provided me with much practical exposure in the field of accounting and financial management. Using my ‘on the job’ experience I was able to better understand the theory of my classes and associate it with real world experiences, including the acquisition and integration of new facilities into the Bradken culture. With such a strong international profile and a welcoming culture where growth, development and continuous improvement are always encouraged, I can see a long and bright future with Bradken.”

Reece Attwood The University of Newcastle Mechanical Engineering

“Any major company claims to adhere to a set of values, but Bradken unquestionably practices what it preaches. I have watched the Bradken culture continue to develop in recent years through careful recruitment. Bradken’s core values, particularly integrity, loyalty and motivation are predominant in all new staff. This type of culture sits well with me and makes Bradken a great place to be. I could not have asked for a better start to my career with the training and support Bradken has given. There is no shortage of truth in the motto ‘Proud to Belong’.”
