The Campolonghi organization is very proud of the final quality of their manufactured product. To achieve this, everyone involved is totally aware of all industry standard practices and are fully committed to produce an excellent product. Over and above its general company policy for overall commitment, Campolonghi Group maintain the following quality control procedures: Excavation Each block is inspected thoroughly for colour and uniformity and dimensions. After inspection blocks are transported to our deposit in Italy. At the factory yard Each block is controlled before commencement to sawing for: a. general colour assessment b. direction and orientation of blemishes c. optional direction of cutting d. should the block be considered not acceptable it is then rejected. After sawing operations are completed, each slab will be accurately washed. From every block 1 slab will be immediately polished or finished as ordered and an immediate comparison with the selected colour range samples will then be made. If acceptable, all slabs will be finished. Cutting Before cutting of material, slabs are checked for thicknesses, colour, range and blemishes. Special Operations On completion of edge work, slabs will be moved to other areas for special additional operations, if these are required. Prior to any of the following operations, at least 1 in each 10 slabs will be checked for edge work tolerances. Packing Crates are designed and ordered in time and are ready to accomodate completed pieces. Each piece is checked for colour and blemishes and compared to the previously accepted samples, before final packing. All crates are covered with polyetilene foil to avoid accumulation dust, dirt etc. One plastic protected packing list will be attached to each crate, one will be sent with the shipping documents and one will be forwarded DHL with the original bill of lading for a speedy custom clearance.
