University Honors Program Qualifying scores for college-level math and composition; competitive GPA or SAT/ACT scores; completion of essay-based application showing evidence of competent writing and thinking abilities. Applicants are encouraged to provide a sample of academic or creative performance and supporting letter of reference. Submit essay-based honors program application to honors program director. Submit scholarship application to financial aid office. Applicant has the option to submit sample of academic or creative work and a supporting letter of reference. Strong first-year experience with learning community focus. Emphasis on development and refining skills in academic reading, writing, discussion, critical thinking, multidisciplinary research, and analysis of complex problems.
