Welcome remarks, Process, Power & Marine Update

8:45 - 9:30

Engineering of Tomorrow - Today This presentation highlights how Intergraph’s SmartPlant Enterprise technology has brought the industry to a new level of design. As more information becomes available, there are fewer changes, meaning fewer hours expended and fewer errors. Modification and manual design verification can then be minimized. With SmartPlant Enterprise solutions, you can significantly automate your design, making it possible to push designs later in the schedule. This increases design quality and lowers cost and project execution risk. By using these automation tools, you can apply design consistency and best practices.

9:30 - 10:30

Integrated Construction Planning Improving Capital Project Construction Efficiency COAA’s WorkFace Planning Model Benchmarks indicate that most projects spend approximately 70 to 80 percent of overall capital cost on construction, major equipment, and bulk materials. Spending more time on planning- and construction related details pays huge dividends. This session will help project teams better estimate the work involved in constructing complex and challenging projects. Learn how to improve work planning in this session, which will focus on better application of industrial engineering principles across the board with “productionized construction.” The presenter will also showcase the integration of advanced EPC pre-coding and equipment/bulk material tracking. From a compensation perspective, explore the aspect of paying for standard work task units accomplished, not labor-hours, and promote the use of safe and innovative construction methods and techniques. From an engineering perspective, learn about the “design to construct” engineering philosophy and the improved use of standardization. The presenter will also address constructability audits throughout the engineering phases and advanced design tools to train construction crews.

Value of SmartPlant Enterprise Across the EPC and O/O Life Cycle The economy has substantially impacted owners, operators, and creators of complex and capital-intensive assets. Low-profit assets are being retired. Large CAPEX projects face strict profitability reassessments, and in many cases, are cancelled. Most companies are challenged to tightly manage investments and OPEX and to improve project and asset margins without compromising safety or compliance. Most importantly, companies are looking for ways to come out of the current crisis stronger and more competitive. SmartPlant Enterprise adds value across the asset life cycle. This session will demonstrate how Intergraph’s SmartPlant Enterprise helps O/Os to improve operating margins by increasing plant uptime while boosting safety and the ability to demonstrate regulatory compliance. Plus, SmartPlant Enterprise offers benefits on CAPEX and project duration; enabling EPCs, suppliers, and fabrication companies to improve their productivity and profitability.

11:30 - 13:00

Local Technical User Forum Lunch Meeting and Tech Expo Local Technical User Forums (LTUFs) are chapters of Canada-wide TUFs formed by members of the local Intergraph users’ community representing specific areas of interest. Each area in Canada may have its own unique combination of LTUFs based on industry segment concentration in the area. Intergraph has provided a meeting area for LTUF groups; please note that the meetings in the following schedule are hosted by the LTUF Chairperson. • • •

SmartPlant P&ID Update SmartPlant P&ID is an asset-centric, rule-driven engineering solution that can help to efficiently create and improve plant configurations. This session provides updates in the development of SmartPlant P&ID and show you how it plays a key role in design, construction, commissioning, and operations, enabling plant owners to better plan for maintenance, operational tasks, and expansions or modifications.

15:15 - 15:55

SmartPlant P&ID Design Validation Electronic format ... data handover ... EPCs are commonly required to provide these elements to their clients. But exactly what data is provided, the consistency of this data throughout the P&IDs, and when it is provided to the plant owner are beginning to change. The new SmartPlant P&ID Design Validation solution enables collaboration between SmartPlant P&ID and SmartPlant Isometrics. The latest version of the tool now compares SmartPlant Isometrics drawings (or indeed any ISOGEN®-generated drawing) with your P&IDs. As before, it also supports comparison with a PDMS model. In this session explores the new capability enhances both SmartPlant P&ID and SmartPlant Isometrics in several ways.

15:55 - 16:30

SmartPlant Instrumentation Advance Specification Sheet Customization This session highligts the SmartPlant Instrumentation feature of building and using composite specification forms for multiple tags.
