Well October is here , the days are getting shorter and the days are getting colder . (Bummer) LOL I think all in all everyone has had a good year of flying at least I hope so. The Love-Air club has made some good advancements this year we have new work tables , new Port A Potty , new runway and the pilot’s stations have been repaired. We are working on a new fence to replace the melted one by the surprise fire that took place two weeks ago, also there will be new signs posted at the gate with the club logo on it. As you all know the next meeting will be on Wednesday the 12th at 7:00 pm at the Windsor community center . I strongly urge you to attend this meeting . We will be taking nomination’s for spots on the board also for President and vice president. I have told the board that I will take Chris position as vice President But we need someone to step-up and take on the Presidents job. I would like to Thank Phil Nuckles for his hard work putting on another great Jet Event at the field . We did not have a large turnout in Pilot’s but had a lot of flying and great weather , we had over 40 car loads of spectators on Saturday. One last thing that I wanted to remind everyone about is to meet the AMA safety code you must have your Name and address on or in your airplane or you AMA number on your plane somewhere. September Meeting Minutes

LARC General Membership meeting September 14, 2016 President, Van Kratzenstein, called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM. Our meetings are held at the Windsor Rec. Ctr. just north of Carpenter Rd. on 11th str., Windsor, Co. Our club membership stands at 96 and was represented at this meeting by 14 members. Young guest, Karl Weaver, was present with his mom and is planning to join as a junior member. A treasurer’s financial report was given and approved. Included in this report was a profit of approximately $500.00 from our warbirds event. Due to the costs incurred from port-a- potty rental, the profit from the Huckfest/Cubfest was negligible. Fred Smith found a like-new port-a-potty and was purchased for $200.00, which will only be used for special events. Our pilot protection fence was given a good test during the warbird meet and stopped a large plane, producing a tear which has been repaired by the flyer involved. A “controlled burn” around the oil/gas facility got out of control, and thanks to member Pedro Sanchez, called the fire department, who arrived promptly and got it under control. The fire damaged a plastic fence at our entrance and encroached from the northwest towards the potties. Thanks Pedro for responding. We are still waiting for our one year warranty inspection of the runway due to a busy summer road repair season by the contractors. Van has again put on a big push to find a member who would fill the president’s office for 2017. Van has volunteered to be the vice-president in support of the new president. All other officers will continue. Van also reminds us to please continue to be vigilant about safety at the flying field. With no show and tell our meeting adjourned at 7.40. Club Membership The Love-Air R/C Club is a club organized to enjoy and promote the sport of flying radio controlled models. The club is a chartered member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA), a national organization whose purpose is to promote the sport of model aviation. The annual membership fee is $150.00 and covers from July 1st through June 30th. Membership cards are issued and a monthly newsletter is sent to each member. Current membership is required to fly at the Love-Air flying site. The club requires that all members who use the club flying field are also current members of the AMA. New members Welcome! It is easy to join and/or pay your dues – just go to the club website and follow the membership link. Adult Junior (18 and under) Family

We had a fire at Drake last month. We are not really sure how it started. If you havent been out, here is a picture of the burn area.
