Installing the Agent Copy the Install file of the SINTAgent onto your desktop. Double click on the install file. The Welcome to the SINTelligent Agent Setup Wizard popup will appear.

Click Next on the above screen. The SINTelligent Agent Information will display.

Click next on the above window. The wizard will now prompt you to select and installation folder.

Select the location where you would like to install the agent and click next, and next again to start the installation.

The agent will begin to install, once installation has finished, click close when prompted.

To check that the agent has been installed correctly, navigate to the folder selected in screenshot Figure 3, you will see that the bin folder has been added to the folder.

Start the SNMP Service Navigate to the Control Panel and open the Adminstrative Tools

Scroll through the list of services and ensure that the SNMP Service is running. If the SNMP service does not exist in the services list it will have to first be installed. INSTALLING THE SNMP SERVICE To install the SNMP service, insert your Windows service pack disc. The following window will appear.

Select the Windows Components install option . The Windows Components wizard will appear, beneath the components list.

Check the checkbox adjacent to the Management and Monitoring Tools option and click next.

Once the installation has completed, click finish. Navigate back to the Services window. You will notice that the SNMP Services have been added. Ensure that the SNMP Service, the WMI Performance Adapter Service and the Windows Management Instrumentation Drive Extensions Services are started, and that their Startup Type is set to Automatic.

If they are not started right click on the service and select start from the context menu. If the Startup Type is not set to automatic, you can change it by right clicking on the service, selecting Properties from the context menu, and from the popup window select Automatic from the Startup Type dropdown.

Disable File Sharing DISABLE INTERNET MONITORING If you are running NOD32 antivirus, ensure that the Internet monitoring has been disabled. You can do this by opening the NOD32 control centre and navigating to the IMON section, make sure that the "Internet Monitoring (IMON) Enabled" checkbox is unchecked.

DISABLE THE FIREWALL Ensure that your firewall is also disabled. You can do this by navigating to the control panel and opening the Windows Firewall tool.

Check the off radio button to disable the firewall.

Ensure that your file sharing has been disabled, to do this navigate to the control panel and open the folder options tool. Beneath the View tab of the Folder options, ensure that the "Use simple file sharing" option has been unchecked.

Setup User Account Ensure that there is a username and password setup on your pc. You can do this by accessing the User Accounts tools from the control panel. If a user account already exists, ensure that it is password protected.
