CONRAD KOH SAMUI Residences With its idyllic setting on a tropical island with pristine white beaches and azure sea the Conrad Samui is the ultimate luxury villa style escape. Every aspect of the unique luxury villas has been designed to take your breath away, from the stunning view to the contemporary detail within.
INTERVIEW with Tony Randall
A FAMILY AFFAIR HOW LONG HAS YOUR FAMILY OWNED BLUE WATERS IN ANTIGUA? The Randall family has owned Blue Waters since 1984. HOW DID YOUR FAMILY BECOME INVOLVED IN THE PROPERTY? My family and I used to visit Blue Waters every year when it was still owned by Osmond Kelsick. We fell in love with the resort from the moment we first arrived! My father became interested in purchasing the resort and offered to buy it from Kelsick. Although at first Kelsick declined his offer, my father was persistent and in 1984 the Randall family became the new owners of Blue Waters. DESCRIBE BLUE WATERS IN THREE WORDS: Inviting. Idyllic. Serene.
Each with its own private pool, the villas come WHAT IS NEW AT THE RESORT? We have been working tirelessly to improve Blue Waters’ facilities, with the new spa and Turtle Cottage among our most recent developments. The spa is home to a range of luxurious treatments using Elemis products, whilst Turtle Cottage has gained a reputation as being one of the finest accommodations the Caribbean has to offer. TELL US SOMETHING WE MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT BLUE WATERS: Blue Waters has recently acquired a new Monterey boat that seats up to 6, which we’re sure guests are going to love sailing on! DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE ROOM (CATEGORY), AND WHY? It may sound a tad sentimental, but Deluxe Room 105 has to be my favourite room at the resort. It’s where my family and I stayed on our first visit to Blue Waters. There’s nothing quite like waking up every morning to views of the sun rising over the ocean!
WHAT IS THE LATEST AWARD BLUE WATERS HAS WON? Blue Waters won the 2013 World Travel Award for Leading Hotel in Antigua and Barbuda.
with 2 or 3 bedrooms, a separate living room and a host of amenities for your convenience and comfort. Designed and crafted for you to simply enjoy with family or friends.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE ELEMENT OF THE HOTEL? Without a doubt my favourite element of Blue Waters has to be the staff. We are very lucky to be blessed with a team that over the years have come to feel like family, who help to make each guest’s stay unforgettable. Countless guests have commented on how the staff really go out of their way to help, and are never seen without a smile on their face. SO WHAT’S NEXT FOR BLUE WATERS? We’re very excited to be introducing a dedicated kids club to Blue Waters for the summer months. Design plans are currently underway for the new facility, and I think it will be amazing once completed. We’re hoping that families will enjoy the range of child-friendly activities and facilities that the kids club will offer! SPECIAL OFFER

MULTI-CENTRE ASIA with St. Regis The SEYCHELLES is an archipelago of 155 islands, 42 of which are Granitic and the second-largest island of which is Praslin. This was once a hideout for pirates and a hideaway for Arab traders though now is better known as a tourist destination and hideaway of a different sort. Justifiably mistaken for the original Garden of Eden, it is home to the verdant nature park of Vallee de Mai, a UNESCO World Heritage site of unique flora and fauna, including Coco de Mer and Vanilla Orchids. Praslin is a jewel in the Indian Ocean, a sanctuary from the world and a wonderful place to take oneself (and your partner) off to.
It’s often difficult to choose one hotel to stay at when there are so many choices, so why not consider a two- or three-centre holiday with St. Regis Asia in Bangkok, Singapore and Bali? Each of the St. Regis addresses offers a unique experience to discover – explore in Bangkok, shop in Singapore, feel the soft white sands of Nusa Dua beach in Bali – while regional flights make the transfers a breeze. And all throughout, St. Regis will continue to seduce you into a world of luxury and service that goes beyond expectation. Bespoke, exceptional, and the best of both – or all three – worlds.
In a destination such as this, elegance always seems the thing. This is something Raffles Praslin knows only too well, with some of the most spacious rooms in the Seychelles spread out across gentle slopes to ensure stunning views and utmost privacy to all guests. With a range of villas and villa suites, Raffles caters to romantic getaways, small or larger families and friend groups equally, with luxuries like private pools and

by Mandy Davies As the flight descended ready for landing, I saw the tell-tale signs of houses with white-washed walls and red roofs – I had arrived into Greece. Thessaloniki to be exact. Just a 50 minute scenic drive from the airport through acres of olive groves, I arrived at the DANAI BEACH RESORT & VILLAS.
Gazebos on the beach offer shade from the hot sun in the height of the season and the perfect vantage point from which to gaze at the calm waters of the Aegean. From the amazing beach, the resort offers a myriad of watersports, whilst the resort features a spa, 2 pools and a library. Each meal here is an amazing assault

Rosewood Little Dix Bay
A Rising Star in Italy by Karen Boulton New resorts often take a little time to bed in and develop their character. So I was delighted to be heading to Puglia, an unspoilt region of Italy to see this new kid on the block which has been receiving rave reviews and celebrity visits already. Just an hour from Bari airport we pulled into the resort of BORGO EGNAZIA, the sun shining off the exquisite local white stone used throughout. My first impression was of a beautiful resort that looked like it had been here a 100 years – it was cool and crisp, yet soft and stylish in the same breath.

village style piazza, or in the larger villas – many with private pools. For her, there is the oasis of the Vair Spa or one of the cabanas on the shore of the Adriatic; for him the sanctuary of the cigar room or a championship golf course; and for the little ones there is an excellent kids’ club and numerous land and water activities, children’s pool and their nearby sandy beach (just 5 mins). During our stay we signed up for lessons at the fabulous cookery school. Needless to say we were not a patch on the fantastic cuisine on offer across the several restaurants, but the chef made sure we had fun trying. Borgo Egnazia may be relatively new, but already there is nowhere else quite like it.
