Mining

Ventilation & Civil (VCS)

UGM’s Underground Mining Business has an experienced and highly skilled underground mining team that has the expertise and equipment to deliver all types of projects. We have significant experience in a variety of contracting arrangements which always focuses on ensuring that our clients benefit from the efficiencies we can bring to their site; whether through total mine operations or a supervised service arrangement.

UGM Ventilation and Civil Services Group is fully equipped to deliver ventilation and civil construction projects in the underground environment. UGM VCS is certified to install rated appliances in NSW and QLD and has a range of innovative products to maximise operational safety and efficiency.

Secondary Support

Conveyors

UGM has extensive experience, management systems and proven success in the installation of secondary support in the NSW and QLD coalfields.

UGM Conveyor Group has been designing, installing and maintaining conveyor systems since 1997 and has a team of conveyor systems specialists managing complex installations across NSW and QLD.

Using a quality systems approach and coordinating priorities with clients, UGM have successfully completed significant strata management projects with major mining operators.

Our teams of conveyor engineers, supervisors and tradesmen understand coal clearance system criticality and strive to deliver projects that support operational success.

Surface Operations The UGM Surface Operations team is managed by industry recognised professionals with extensive operational experience at the General Manager level.

Parts and Warehousing UGM Parts and Warehousing Division support the UGM Diesel Services and Plant Hire divisions and provide a service exchange capability for UGM and our clients. With parts and warehousing facilities in NSW and QLD, we support a range of equipment including: `` Joy continuous miners `` LHD’s `` Man transport vehicles `` Ancillary underground equipment.

Diesel Services UGM Diesel Services Division (DSD) DSD operates out of modern workshops in NSW and Queensland. DSD offers complete equipment overhauls, scheduled servicing and machine repairs using the workshop base and field service crews equipped to operate autonomously on our client sites.

Plant and Equipment Hire UGM has an extensive fleet of underground diesel and ancillary equipment available for hire. Our equipment is maintained in our NSW and Queensland diesel workshops and is supported by our Engineering Division and Diesel Services Division. `` Joy continuous miners `` LHD’s and attachments `` Man transport vehicles `` Shuttle cars `` Bolting equipment.

Project Management

Brooks Bros Engineering and Steel is an established Upper Hunter business owned by UGM.
