British Columbia Let us pray: 1. That all the students on campus would come to know and experience all that Christ accomplished for them on the cross. 2. For the events taking place on campus and the raising of a new generation of youth with an apostolic zeal for souls. 3. For British Columbia, a province with many lapsed Catholics and a great number of non-Christians in its population, that evangelization new in ardor, method and expression may take root and grow. Alberta Let us pray: 1. That students on campus would see their sins and have the desire to turn away and follow Christ, knowing that there is mercy in Him. 2. For the events taking place on campus and the raising of a new generation of youth with an apostolic zeal for souls. 3. That the Catholic schools in Alberta would maintain their distinctive identity and continue to form hearts and minds in the Catholic faith. Saskatchewan Let us pray: 1. That students who are going through difficulties would turn to Jesus for strength and healing. 2. For the events taking place on campus and the raising of a new generation of youth with an apostolic zeal for souls 3. That there be an ever-greater understanding between the aboriginal and nonaboriginal people of our province, so that mutual respect may prevail and cooperation may grow.
Manitoba Let us pray: 1. That the hearts of all students on campus would be open to Jesus as their saviour. 2. For the events taking place on campus and the raising of a new generation of youth with an apostolic zeal for souls 3. That all Manitobans would wholeheartedly respond to the call to holiness and that the baptized may identify with their royal, priestly and prophetic call to build the kingdom and be faithful witnesses of Christ. Ontario Let us pray: 1. That students who have encountered Christ would have the courage to be an evangelistic witness of the cross. 2. For the events taking place on campus and the raising of a new generation of youth with an apostolic zeal for souls 3. For the re-evangelization of those who have merely a cultural identity as Catholics, that their faith would come alive through a personal encounter with Jesus Christ. Quebec Let us pray: 1. That students would have a longing to see and experience Christ and have the grace to go against the crowd. 2. For the events taking place on campus and the raising of a new generation of youth with an apostolic zeal for souls. 3. That Québecer’s would return and embrace their spiritual heritage. 4. That forgiveness would be sought out and received by all those who hold pain and resentment due to the sins, abuses, and harshness of church leaders in Québec’s history.
New Brunswick Let us pray: 1. That students would realize the suffering Christ went through was for their salvation and that they would be open to receiving that salvation 2. For the events taking place on campus and the raising of a new generation of youth with an apostolic zeal for souls. 3. For a spiritual re-awakening and re-evangelization of the people of New Brunswick, that each and everyone would have a deep experience of God’s personal love for them. Nova Scotia Let us pray: 1. That all the students caught up in sin would seek mercy and lift from Christ. 2. For the events taking place on campus and the raising of a new generation of youth with an apostolic zeal for souls. 3. That the evangelizing spirit of World Youth Day would set Nova Scotia and it’s campuses ablaze. Prince Edward Island Let us pray: 1. That those who know Christ on campus would not grow weary in reaching out to others with the message of Christ. 2. For the events taking place on campus and the raising of a new generation of youth with an apostolic zeal for souls. 3. For an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on this province, that individuals and local churches would experience a tremendous revitalization of their faith.
Newfoundland and Labrador Let us pray: 1. That student would have the courage in the face of opposition to be a witness to Jesus Christ. 2. For the events taking place on campus and the raising of a new generation of youth with an apostolic zeal for souls. 3. For spiritual renewal of Newfoundland and Labrador, that the Holy Spirit would move powerfully throughout this province and draw people closer to the Father’s heart. Nunavut Let us pray: 1. That the people of Nunavut who are struggling with various addictions (drugs, alcohol, gambling) may find hope in the certainty of God’s love, seen in the outstretched arms of Christ on the cross. 2. That families would be a place of love and care, that they would be able to support themselves financially, emotionally, and spiritually, and that broken hearts would be mended and never again subject to abuse or unfaithfulness. 3. That they young people of Nunavut would be a beacon of hope for one another and a source of strength and courage in order to eliminate the tragedies of suicide and abortion. Northwest Territories Let us pray: 1. That the eyes of all would see and know the salvation Christ won on the cross. 2. For healing from past and present abuse, and a strengthening of the family unit and communities. 3. For renewal in the Church and strong spiritual leadership.
Yukon Let us pray: 1. That the people of the Yukon would find life in Christ. 2. For the youth of the Whitehorse Diocese. They are few in number and are scattered over a vast territory. Help them find strength and support in the few Christian youth that are active in their respective churches. 3. For the raising up of wise and courageous leaders in the local parishes so that the people of the Yukon will come to know the love of Jesus, and find ways to nourish the seed of faith within them. Canada We pray for the intercession of our patron Saint, St. Joseph and the Saints who gave their lives to bring the love of Christ to the first nations people and the settlers of Canada.
