TO USE 1. Spotlight: Simply locate toggle switch on the handle of the Brite-Nite Spotlight Lantern and toggle from “O” to “ | ” position. 2. LED Reading Light: Simply locate toggle switch on the handle of the BriteNite Spotlight Lantern and toggle from “O” to “ || ” position. 3. Fluorescent Light: Simply locate the switch at the base of the lamp next to DC input. Slide switch to turn on.

CHARGING 1. Be sure to charge the unit completely before it’s first use. This will prolong the life of the Brite-Nite Spotlight Lantern. 2. With AC adaptor : Insert the DC plug into the jack on the handle and the other end AC adaptor into an AC outlet. Leave the locking switch in the downwards (OFF) position. The LED indicator light will go on indicating that the spotlight is charging (approximately 15 hours). 3. With car cord: Insert the DC plug into the jack in the handle and the other end cigarette plug into the car cigarette socket. Leave the locking Switch in

The LED indicator light will go on indicating that the spotlight is charging (approximately 12 hours). • NOTE: Do not turn on lamp while charging. Doing so may damage the unit and is not covered under warranty. As with all lead acid cell batteries, when storing, be sure to recharge the battery fully every 3-6 months to prolong the life of the battery.

USER REPLACEABLE BULB • Halogen Bulb - The 1 million Candle Power Brite-Nite Spotlight Lantern uses a 6V 55W H3 halogen bulb. Please go to your local automotive/hardware store for replacement when bulb has burned out. i. Simply unscrew the lamp face and carefully change the bulb. ii. The WHITE wire of the replacement bulb connects to the Brite-Nite’s RED wire. iii. The BLACK wire of the replacement bulb connects to the Brite-Nite’s BLACK wire. iv. After replacing the halogen bulb, screw on the lamp face, making sure a tight fit to ensure no water will enter the housing.

• NOTE: Be sure to not touch the glass of the halogen bulb, as doing so may cause the bulb to shatter. Please refer to the instructions found on the new bulb for other safety precautions. Always wear safety glasses when working with hardware.

• Fluorescent Bulb – The 1 million Candle Power Brite-Nite Spotlight Lantern uses a 7W fluorescent bulb. Please go to your local hardware store for the replacement bulb when bulb has burned out. i. Simply unscrew the main lamp face of the halogen bulb. ii. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the panel inside to take out the

User’s Manual—Read before using this equipment fluorescent bulb. iii. Gently pull out the old bulb and replace with the new fluorescent bulb. iv. After replacing the fluorescent bulb, replace the screws and screw on the lamp face, making sure a tight fit to ensure no water will enter the housing. • Super Bright LED light – The Brite-Nite Spotlight Lantern uses a bright LED bulb that does not need changing. The lifespan of the LED bulb should last up to 10,000 hours. Do not attempt to alter or change this bulb.

GENERAL SAFETY AND PRECAUTIONS • Do not turn on light while charging the unit. Doing so will damage the unit and will void your warranty • As with all lead acid cell batteries, when storing, be sure to recharge the battery fully every 3-6 months to prolong the life of the battery. • Though durable and built to last, do not drop the unit excessively as this will greatly reduce the life of the unit. • Though weather resistant, do not submerge the unit • Lens becomes very hot during operation. Do not cover lens or reflector during operation • Do not shine directly into eyes • Switch off and allow to cool before storage or maintenance • When servicing always wear safety glasses when working with hardware • Use only supplied charger

CAMBIAR LA BOMBILLA • Bombilla de halógeno: la linterna utiliza una bombilla de halógeno H3 de 6V y 55W. Cuando se funda, acuda a una ferretería o a una tienda de automotor para que se la cambien. i. Desatornille el frontal de la lámpara y cambie con cuidado la bombilla. ii. El cable BLANCO de la bombilla de repuesto se conecta con el cable ROJO de la Brite-Nite. iii. El cable NEGRO de la bombilla de repuesto se conecta con el cable NEGRO de la linterna. iv. Después de cambiar la bombilla de halógeno, atornille el frontal de la lámpara, dejándolo bien sujeto para evitar que entre agua.

• AVISO: no toque el cristal de la bombilla de halógeno porque

Warranty Duration: This product is warranted to the original purchaser for a period of one (1) Year from the original purchase date, to be free of defects in material and workmanship. WAGAN Corporation disclaims any liability for consequential damages. In no event will WAGAN Corporation be responsible for any amount of damages beyond the amount paid for the product at retail. In the event of a defective item, please contact WAGAN Corporation at (800) 231-5806 to obtain a Returned Merchandise Authorization number (RMA#), and return instructions. Each item returned will require a separate RMA#. After you have received the RMA# and the return instructions from WAGAN Corporation, please follow the instructions and send the item with PREPAID SHIPPING, along with all of the required documentation, a complete explanation of the problem, your name, address and daytime phone number. WAGAN Corporation will, at its option, replace or repair the defective part. A Returned Merchandise Authorization number (RMA#) is REQUIRED when sending in any defective item. WAGAN Corporation is not responsible for any item(s) returned without an official Returned Merchandise Authorization number. The item(s) must be returned with prepaid shipping. WAGAN Corporation is not responsible for any shipping charges incurred in returning the item(s) back to the company for repair or replacement. This warranty is void if the product has been damaged by accident, in shipment, unreasonable use, misuse, neglect, improper service, commercial use, repairs by unauthorized personnel or other causes not arising out of defects in materials or workmanship.
