DRINKING The legal drinking age in Australia is 18 years old. Identification is required to enter licensed premises or to purchase alcohol.
You are permitted to drive in Queensland if you hold a valid Australian or foreign licence. If your licence is in a language other than English, you should carry an English translation of it when driving.
SMOKING Smoking is banned in all enclosed public spaces. This includes restaurants, bars and clubs. The Queen Street Mall in the city is a totally smoke-free area.
SUN PROTECTION The Australian sun is very strong. Always wear a shirt, hat, sunglasses and SPF 30+. You don’t want to ruin your trip due to a case of wicked sunburn.
