Mechatronics (NSCC)
Hiring our Heroes Corporate Fellowship
• 18 weeks of accelerated welding training
• 10 or 16 week programs
• 13 week program
• Career placement services for selected Soldiers who are still on active duty preparing to transition
• Internationally certified Siemens Mechatronics curriculum in Industrial Production Maintenance
• Provides placement at participating companies in a management or professional position for 3 months
• Graduates become an apprentice and earn college credits (12 hours) during the time in the program
• Designed for Soldiers holding military occupational skills that do not translate easily into the civilian sector
• Following apprenticeship, each Soldier has an established career as well as an Applied Science associate’s degree • Each Soldier is certified as a Union Welder and a job at their location of Choice
• 100% Placement to date
• Implemented by ACES and SFL-TAP along with Nashville State Community College (NSCC) • High demand with requests for 100% of graduates
• Soldiers work at the company site for three days a week and attend one day of classroom training provided by Austin Peay State University • Classroom portion addresses corporate skills and certification • Greenbelt Lean Six Sigma, Microsoft Certification, and Corporate Culture included • Employers include GE Aviation, Tractor Supply, Amazon • 77% hiring rate
Microsoft MSSA (ERAU) • 18 weeks in length • Students earn 18 college credits as Cloud Developers, Database Managers, and Business Intelligence Administrators • Students learn • Administered by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University • Each student receives an interview with Microsoft or one of its hiring partners • 1st Program of its kind with graduation coming on Sept 1st.
Hiller Transition to Trades (TtT) • 30, 60 or 90 day training programs in the areas of HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical • Completion leads to employment at one of Hiller’s thirteen local locations or a guaranteed interview with partner companies across the country • An attractive and convenient program for transitioning Soldiers with new programs starting each month • 100% Employment
