KD Hair and Blushed Makeup offer an in studio or mobile service providing exclusive hair and makeup packages for your wedding day by highly trained bridal hair and makeup experts. We use only quality, high end, long wearing products, plus set your makeup in a particular way so it will last all day & night.

Prices are quoted per person and are valid prices as at April 2015. Prices are subject to change before your deposit is paid (due to product increases etc). Prices will only be secured once deposit is received. Prices are based on our high end products used and our high levels of training and experience. Please note that these prices have been quoted as both individual services and discounted prices through our exclusive hair and makeup packages.

Bookings If you would like to secure us for your wedding, please complete the booking request form located at the end of this package and return it to [email protected] We will then confirm our availability and arrange a confirmation form, final costs and provide details to pay your deposit. Please note that your date is not secured until your deposit has been paid.

Additional Information

Location We are happy to offer two location options for your wedding day: 1. KD Hair Studio – Penrith CBD 2. Mobile Service to your chosen location/venue – Travel fees apply. Travel Fees Travel fees apply for all mobile services. The following is a guideline only; please request a travel fee quote.     

A $20 base rate is applied for all mobile services and then will be charged as follows: Travel is charged at $60 per hour. For travel less than and exceeding one hour, a percentage of that rate will be charged. An exact price can be quoted on enquiry. Travel exceeding one hour one way will incur a return travel fee. We will always quote the quickest route; therefore additional costs may be added to your travel fee to cover toll payments. If paid parking is required, it will be the responsibility of the client to make payment for one vehicle. (Please advise closest parking when securing your booking as we do have a lot of baggage which is heavy.)

Surcharges As Sundays and Public Holidays are outside our general trading hours, a 25% surcharge of the total price applies for all Sundays and Public Holidays. A surcharge of 30% of the total package price applies for start times before 5:30am. Bookings & Cancellations To ensure you secure us for your big day, we recommend you book your preferred date well in advance as we do book out quite quickly. Once we advise we are available for your date, a quote has been sent and approved by you, a deposit is payable. Your deposit will be forfeited in full if cancellation is made once securing your date. Your date will not be secured until we receive your deposit or proof of deposit payment. Deposit & Final Payment A $200 non-refundable deposit is required to be paid at the time of your booking which will be forwarded to your final balance. Your final balance will be due on your wedding day which is preferred to be paid in cash. Alternatively, if you would like to make final payment in advance, please contact us to make arrangements. Your Wedding Day When you are ready to secure your date, please consider the following when you advise us what time you would like us to come to you.  Allow approx 1 hour for all bridal/wedding hair and 1 hour for all bridal/wedding makeup  Think about what time you want your entire bridal party to be ready. Consider how long it will take everyone to get dressed, if you are getting pre ceremony photos (what time your videographer & photographer will arrive), travel time to venue’s etc.

Please note that we have one hair stylist and one makeup artist, so two people can be attended to at one time e.g. one person get’s hair done while one get’s makeup done, then swap. Most bridal parties request natural makeup looks, but if you request a more complex look, please allow additional time so we can meet your requests within your specified time frame. We also recommend advising us if any members of your bridal party have problematic hair or skin so we can allow extra time to attend to these ladies (i.e., extremely curly hair that needs to be blow dried or excessive acne/scarring on the face which needs to be covered). Please note additional cost may be charged for additional time incurred. Bridal Trial We recommend all of our bride’s have a hair and makeup trial before your big day so we can ensure you are happy with your chosen look. If another member of your bridal party is concerned about their hair or makeup, we recommend having a trial also. It’s a good idea to have a trial once you have decided on a gown or a particular look you are hoping for. Photos are always helpful to ensure we can see your vision and meet your expectations. Tips from your hair stylist (don’t forget to tell your maids!) Your hair stylist Kaydee, owner of KD Hair, recommends each person washes their hair the night prior to the wedding day. It’s recommended you use only a small amount of conditioner and refrain from using any other hair products after washing such as leave in moisturisers, treatments or hairspray. Leave your hair natural, don’t straighten or curl it. By curling or straightening your hair yourself, your hair will refuse to be styled by Kaydee which can make things difficult or stressful on the day. If one of the girls hair is extremely frizzy or curly, you may want to recommend they blow dry their hair after washing it. Failing to follow these recommendations may cause us to run behind time and may not reflect your desired look. If you are concerned about your hair (damage, extremely curly etc) please advise us in advance as it may incur additional time and therefore an additional cost may be payable. Kaydee is more than happy to meet with one of your bridal party members in her salon to discuss any concerns. Also, don’t forget to book your colour in for a few weeks before your wedding day! Tips from your makeup artist (don’t forget to tell your maids!) Your makeup artist Emma, owner of Blushed Makeup, recommends each person to have a fresh clean face before their makeup application. This means no makeup and a lightly moisturised face. Make sure you get plenty of sleep to avoid tired eyes! If the bride and bridesmaids wish to wear lipstick on the day, she recommends purchasing your chosen product before your big day (preferably before your trial) so you can keep it on you and touch up your lips throughout the day (after eating, drinking etc it may need a little TLC). Alternatively, we are happy to arrange a touch up lipstick for you (additional cost) which may be a lower cost than the recommended retail price as Emma is a member of several cosmetic professional programs. If you wish to do so, it will need to be arranged in advance (this can be discussed at your bridal trial). Please also let us know if your bridal party is allergic to anything contained in makeup or require a specific product.
