These translation projects also entail considerable amounts of editing and even rewriting. My own business-related academic intellectual input is often substantial and takes the form of numerous small (and often more substantial) stylistic improvements and suggestions relating to the clarity and precision of the text. I ensure that each sentence is formulated optimally in terms of sentence construction, word order and the actual meaning of the text. Thus, I assume a responsibility for producing an English version which is at least as good as the original. Alternatively expressed, my work entails a degree of academic supervision which is often substantial. 2 I have also translated and/or edited a large number of questionnaires, abstracts for conferences, letters and other documents for colleagues in the Department of Marketing, University of Muenster. Furthermore, many of my earlier research articles with German colleagues (see "Articles Published" section of CV) also entailed substantial amounts of translation and editing.)
