About TCO Certified TCO Certified is the world’s most extensive third party sustainability certification for IT products, helping purchasers and manufacturers make more environmentally and socially responsible choices. Electronics are associated with many different sustainability risks throughout the life cycle, such as working conditions in electronics manufacturing, environmental effects, energy consumption, hazardous substances, user health and safety, and e-waste. Citing TCO Certified The brand TCO Certified must always be cited in its entirety. It can also be cited using the relevant product category name, eg TCO Certified Notebooks.

Recommended ways to cite TCO Certified in product promotions “(product sales name/model) has achieved the sustainability certification TCO Certified” OR “(product sales name/model) has been certified according to environmental and social sustainability criteria in TCO Certified“ Correct citing “TCO” must always be capitalized. The “C” in “Certified” must always be capitalized. The first letter of any product category must also be capitalized. Example - “TCO Certified Notebooks”
