MISSION STATEMENT

Mission Statement, Operating Goals & Objectives The mission of the San Diego Convention Center Corporation is to generate significant economic benefits for the greater San Diego region by hosting

international and national conventions and trade shows in our world-class facility. We fulfill this mission by: + Maximizing positive economic impact, creating region-wide jobs and expanding business opportunities for the benefit of business stakeholders and the local community; + Generating event-driven tax revenue from out-of-town attendees to fund essential city services that enhance the quality of life for all San Diegans; + Serving as the region’s premier gathering place and hosting important community events; + Maintaining high ethical standards, being fiscally sound and giving back to the community; + Leading the industry in environmental and social responsibility by operating the building in an ecologically sound manner and contributing excess food, as well as select event materials, to local non-profit and charitable organizations; and + Providing our clients and guests with outstanding service, consistently exceeding expectations, and in a manner that secures future business and economic benefits for the destination. INSPIRATION

San Diego Convention Center 25th Anniversary The San Diego Convention Center

celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2014. The convention center first opened its doors on November 24, 1989.

The various collateral pieces designed

specifically for our 25th anniversary served as the starting point in refreshing our

brand for the years to come. The colors, imagery, and typography all played a

welcome role throughout the following brand guide.

The buttresses is the term used to describe just that

portion of the SDCCC logo. B

The wordmark is the portion of the logo that contains just

the lettering that makes the words “San Diego Convention Center Corporation”.

CONVENTION EVENTS BRING BUSINESS TO SAN DIEGO

During FY15, the San Diego Convention Center is scheduled to host 145 total events, 69 of which are primary business. The nearly 790,000 attendees at these events are forecasted to spend over $600 million on restaurants, bars, shopping, attractions, hotels and other local amenities.
