Notifications Happy New Year!

….and back to work!

Rapporteur: Michal Maciej Dzienis 2.2

New year has begun, and we have less and less time

The plan “Unify Section” still ongoing. till the summer holiday. The attempts to unify section

under the patronate of Göta Studentkår will become much quicker now. Implemented practices will involve: -

-

Structuring current Student Groups to the best of their efficiency and purpose. Council of IT, first meeting will take place around the end of January. Much closer and somewhat pressured communication between parties of the IT Section, for example, if someone brings up possibility of cooperation I will monitor its progress. As such I will exercise much greater degree of “supervision”, mainly to make sure all student groups are doing fine, and are not overloaded with new roles

(more detail on each of the practices later in the agenda)

Rapporteur: Michal Maciej Dzienis 2.3

In short, to bring the “Unification” to life and to keep it alive I will attempt to be everywhere, and know everything to the fullest extent of my ability and position.

Structuring current and future student SGSE&M and SGMiC will be provided an opportunity to improve their structure in order to be as efficient as groups. possible in performing the roles of a student group: -

-

-

Rapporteur: Michal Maciej Dzienis

Being an official voice of the students for their respective programs. Bring up problems regarding their respective programs, from perspectives of educational quality, as well as lacking study environment. Maintaining communication with the respective program management in cases of problems regarding their programs and study environments. Creating an efficient middle-man between Göta and student populous. That implies little matters which can be handles by a student group itself.

Organizing fun events, believe it or not, is a secondary role of a student group. In order to support the primary roles communication tool in form of Göta created Student Group email will be provided for every student group. Student Groups have been contacted to setup meeting in order to discuss just this purpose.

Student Groups, part 2

Idea has come up to create student groups responsible for other programs, like Systevetenskap, IT Management, Lärande, Kommunikation & IT, Kognitionvetenskap, etc. There exist student organizations which “watch” over those programs, but in a way of creating fun, rather than aiming to address eventual problems with the programs. It occurred to me, after conversing with Philip Shapiro from SystemSex, that creation of such groups aimed solely to fill the gap is indeed a plausible idea.

Rapporteur: Michal Maciej Dzienis 2.5

Council of IT

That is right, it is coming back, and the way it is supposed to this time. By this time the invitations to the meeting are already sent out, however the date might not be established yet. Invited parties: Göta Studentkår SKIP GÖSTA SystemSex SGData SGSE&M SGMiC JUSEK Systomatic List of topics during the Council of IT: Round of self-presentations from each invited party of the Council Idea, Purpose, and Structure for the Council of IT IT Mentorship Program Future of Göta Studentkår, FUM, and Board Membership Other parties will have a chance to present themselves and whatever they want to mention during the meeting. Examples of cooperation between parties of the IT Secton: Linux Workshops, Build’O’Comp Workshops, Information website (Göta + SKIP + SGData) Promotion of ideas of further cooperation: more consultant/communication related companies during workfair (SGMiC + GÖSTA), etc. SKIP IT Conference idea

Active Fun & Entertainment for Students

The plan of making the consoles available at SKIP & Göta to be accessible for everyone. Permanently attaching them to certain areas, like by the Göta Screen and allowing students to use them. Consoles at our disposal are SKIPs Xbox360 and a PS4. SKIP board is fine with putting out their console. Other idea involves ping pong tables on the entrance floor of Patricia. On the entrance floor since all other areas are occupied most of the time. IT Faculty has been contacted about this, but as usual they are lightning-fast in answering their messages. Nonetheless, surveys have been sent out around facebook groups in order to evaluate the plausibility and popularity of the idea, which was given to us by couple of SE&M students.

Rapporteur: Michal Maciej Dzienis 2.6

IT Mentorship Program

The current vision is: Göta buys one table, the faculty buys second one, and we call it collaboration between student union and university! That is still out there, and very soon (most likely before the end of January) I will begin focusing on that officially. Information what it is for those unaware can be given during the meeting. Current volunteers for the management group: Michal Maciej Dzienis Thor Khashayar Salehi Anders Bastos

Rapporteur: Michal Maciej Dzienis 2.7

MiC Alumni Conference

Further volunteers will be searched for, and contact will be renewed with creators of the program, Alena Ipanova & Anton Shumeika. th

It is coming up. 29 January. More information (if requested) on the meeting, and primarily on facebook.

Rapporteur: Michal Maciej Dzienis 2.8

Verksamhetsplan

Group of Göta Chairmen (including myself) to write a more appealing and efficient verksamhetsplan, one which would be clearer and much better work with Götas 3 year plan. More information about this as it goes.
