3M™ Scotchkote™ SPX 700 series water borne intumescent paints - for structural steel

Novec™ 1230 fluid is a highly efficient fire extinguishant that can be used for both streaming and flooding applications. It is ideal for special hazards: spaces where the criticality of maintaining operation of high value equipment is paramount. Examples include: telecommunication switch rooms, computer data centres and electronic control rooms.

These products are approved under the UL, FM systems and other international codes for all types of application and have been used extensively in major international airport projects and substations, oil & gas facilities and high rise hospitality and tourism projects around the region.

These high performance water based fire limitation coating specially developed for internal wooden and cementitious surfaces; comply to BS 476 part 6 & 7 fire test. Pyro-Tech L.S. is based on special fire and flame resistant resins combined with highly efficient intumescent pigments and fillers which minimise flame spread in the event of a fire.

Scotchcal™ Translucent Graphic Film is a cast vinyl film with a clear, permanent, pressure sensitive adhesive and a synthetic liner that does not split if wet. The matte surface finish eliminates glare and provides a uniform color in both reflected and transmitted light. This film is thermoformable, has a low surface gloss that eliminates glare and is suitable for both interior and exterior applications.

The system delivers sunlight deep into the core of multi-floor buildings. It has two parts: a sunlight collector on the sunfacing exterior wall, and light ducts and extractors to transport and distribute the sunlight within the building.

Life Cycle Management is an integral part of 3M’s sustainability strategy. Instead of only focusing on the manufacturing process to control environmental, health, safety and energy effects, the spotlight is now on products throughout their entire life cycle, from manufacturing through customer use and disposal. 3M has adopted a Life Cycle Management Policy requiring all business units to conduct LCM reviews for all new products and to conduct LCM reviews on existing products on a prioritized basis. LCM reviews of all existing products must be completed by 2010. Reducing our own footprint is just part of the equation. 3M also offers our customers a portfolio of products to help them reduce their impact on the environment. In 2007, 3M launched a new catalog showcasing 3M products designed to address environmental challenges in the following markets: cleaning and maintenance, construction and industrial production, communications, office supplies, transportation, and health care.
