Sub Committee Reports: H&I Hello Area, I would like to inform this area that the H&I subcommittee is still in dire need of support. We did get a few positions filled. We need members of NA to support these facilities by going up and volunteering (to be an H&I panel sponsor or co-sponsor.) However the message is getting out. I will be asking the Treasurer for $300.00 from our budget to cover the cost of renting the facility at Calvary Baptist Church, 702 Collingwood for our learning day. I’ll also need $50.00 for materials such as folders, pens, paper and printing. Activities has graciously offered to provide food. In Loving Service, Mike F.

Phone Line: Hello Area, We had our PL meeting with Outreach and the area vice-chair overseeing PR activities on Nov. 20, 2016 at 6pm, 3 hours late due to a church function. Tom B. continues to carry the day phone and Devorah W. carries the night phone with no problems reported. Phone calls to the day phone continue to be consistent with a phone call every day and occasionally 2 or 3 calls a day. The night phone is only getting 1 or 2 calls a week. Most calls are for meeting information and sometimes detox or rehab info. I attended the H&I meeting and Learning Day planning is well th under way. We had a PR booth at a Community Resources Fair on Nov. 10 at the West Toledo Y. We also had a booth at Lourdes Univ. for the Forum on Drug Abuse in our Community on Nov. th 28 . I ordered $93.00 of literature for these events and upcoming ones and provided receipts to the area Treasurer for reimbursement from the PR Budget. Updates to the meeting directories have been done on the area’s and region’s websites. The TACNA XX registration flyer is posted. Also flyers for the Outreach All Service Learning Day, H&I Learning Day, Thanksgiving Marathon and Chili Cook-off were posted. We continue to be in need of an actual PR Chair. Our next meeting th is Dec. 18 , 3pm at Phillips Temple. In Loving Service, Tom B.

Public Relation: This position is vacant at this time. Information included in Phoneline report.

Outreach: Greetings BLASCNA, I would like to give praise to my H.P. and thank the area for the opportunity to be of service. Outreach did meet with Phonelines on Nov. 20, 2016 at 6pm. Our time was changed with short notice due to a function at the church which may have been the reason for a small turn out. Our subcommittee has been able to fulfill its duties with the help of our vice-chair Melissa Mc. who has been doing a great job with the other members. We have been able to visit members and groups that find themselves in isolation. There is a flyer available to GSR’s to fill out with information of any member or their group that might find themselves in isolation. It is also our plan to make area minutes available to all groups of this area that do not have a GSR and new meetings in the BLASCNA area, so if you have knowledge of any individual or group that can benefit from our services please inform us. We are planning an all services learning day on Jan. 14, 2017 at the Fulton County Alano Club, 222 S. Brunell St. Wauseon OH, flyers available. Your humble servant, Willie L.

Area Office Report: Hello BLASCNA, The Area Office is up & running with a full stock of literature. The challenge of obtaining the new literature – Guiding Principles – has been resolved. We now have these in stock also new key tags for A Decade Clean and Decades Clean which we have in stock but in a limited supply. The price is the same as other key tags, $0.60 apiece. A starter kit was given to the newest group in our area that meets on Fridays from 4 – 5 PM. This meeting’s format is to be a tradition study using the new Guiding Principles book. A new pamphlet approved at the WSC on Replacement Therapy Drugs & NA will soon be published. We will order them as soon as they are made available. Literature sales have been constant since the last area meeting. We have placed four orders for various literature and received them with all literature accounted for. The ASO has also returned monies to the Area Treasurer on regular intervals. The amount of purchases and money returned is available on request and can be seen in the Treasurers report. With sales being as they have been the importance of literature to help carry the message of hope and a promise of freedom is

truly good. Without the guidance of literature, God only knows where one might be. The Area Service Office is open for literature sales on Thursdays from 5 – 7 PM, including holidays, if on a Thursday. The house of destruction never closed for a holiday so the information for construction is also available on these days. Literature is also for sale on the first Saturday of every month at the ASC meeting. This is to transpire for one hour after the meeting per BLASCNA policy but the demand for literature usually calls for this to transpire through the meeting as an hour is not enough time to fill the requests for literature. I am asking at this time to be reimbursed $26.80 for the H&I stamp that I have purchased for H&I literature to be stamped per policy. The stamp has H&I and both, day & night helpline numbers on it as per policy. The ASO literature budget is designated for literature purchases, paper & ink to print schedules and forms. I have a suggestion that all subcommittees either supply their own ink and paper for their flyers and not leave this expense on the literature budget to supply. Postage rates have changed for literature shipments and this varies for amounts of literature ordered. The best rate is 10% of total purchase over $500.00 but this is not always amount ordered. If below $500.00 we pay 14% for shipping. To deter this there is a need to adjust the price of some of our literature to remedy this. Basic Texts need to go to $13.25, Just for Today to go to $10.25, It Works How & Why to go to $10.25, Step Working Guide to $9.75, Living Clean to $11.25, Medallions to $3.75 and Key Tags to $0.60. All prices need to cover the 14% shipping added to BLASCNA’s orders from MSO and or NAWS. There is a copy of the ASO’s literature inventory on hand at the end of November 2016 available for review as the BLASCNA policy states that is required from Literature Subcommittee or the ASO Chair. There is a need to have 10 BLASCNA Area Policies printed. In Loving Service, Greg M. ASO Chair There was some discussion on area subcommittees needs to print flyers and they should have itemized in their budgets printing expenses, Discussion on the Office charging $0.10 per impression if the subcommittees use the Office’s printer. No large amount of pages should be printed or we’ll burn up another ink head. If subcommittees can, please use OfficeMax or a professional print service. Discussion on a need to purchase a commercial printer.

T.A.C.N.A.: Hello Area, The TACNA XX convention is moving along very well. Our Border Battle Game Day/Chili Cook-off was great. We are still asking for continued support for all up and coming fund raising and entertainment events. Open positions on the TACAN committee are Convention Information and Arts and Graphics. Please bring nominations to our subcommittee meeting the nd 2 Sunday of the month. In Loving Service, Terrance L. TACNA Bank Statement Items: Beginning Balance 11/03/16 $5,590.61 th Credits: 11/03/16 $4.28, 7 tradition, 11/03/16 $255.00 Merchandise sales, 11/28/16 $194.00 F&E event, 11/29/16 $210.00 Merchandise sales. Activities: We have a letter of resignation from the previous chair, dated 9/27/16 and receipt from the Treasurer for returned funds of $36.00 from the last event Activities had in July. Hello BLASCNA, in humble spirit I have to resign my position due to my health. There is a case of hamburgers in the freezer at the church where the Tues. night meeting is held. Here is the change from the last function we had $36.00. I regret not being able to fulfill this position however my health is not what it was when I took the position and with limited health help it was too much for me. In Loving Service, Gretchen T. Hello BLASCNA Area, the (Thanksgiving) event went very well Wednesday and Thursday. I asked the Treasurer for $120.00 and we received $150.00 in donations from members of NA. I was truly grateful for everyone that came, that helped and brought something, it was a success. I brought the treasurer back $96.75 on Friday from the pop we sold for $0.50 each. Activities would like to put on another event either the day before Christmas or on Christmas Day so I would like to get

$160.00 from the Treasurer. We were charged $60.00 for use of the facility at Glass City Church for 2 days use, $30.00 per day. Also I will need $50.00 for the H&I Learning Day next weekend. Loving Servant, Lillie H.
