Bismarck State College Logo Standards Updated January 2012
Logo standards The identity of Bismarck State College is affected by the creation of all visual stimuli. This includes brochures, posters, stationery, signage apparel and exhibits. Consistent application of high standards of graphic imagery is an important element in marketing Bismarck State College’s integrity and identity. Every visual piece produced by Bismarck State College serves two functions:
1. To fulfill the specific function for which the piece is designed
2. To project a positive image and identity for Bismarck State College
In order to accomplish this, the use of the Bismarck State College logo must comply with approved design standards. In order to optimize recognition of the Bismarck State College logo, it should never appear in a configuration other than the examples in this standards guide. The creation of other logos or modifying approved logos sends a conflicting and inconsistent image to the internal and external community and mustbe avoided.
Our logo The purpose of the Logo Usage Guide is to help you make the best use of our logo. We designed this logo to make a good first impression about our professionalism to our community, students, alumni, donors and campus visitors. Our logo represents a strong, innovative image while communicating a sense of fun that tells people we are a vital organization that is committed to innovation. To get the most out of our logo, it’s important to protect it from misuse or alterations that could unintentionally misrepresent us or confuse the public about our identity. Please refer to this manual for the correct usage of the Bismarck State College logo. By consistently implementing the basic usage standards shown on these pages, a uniform brand and image will be communicated to BSC’s many audiences. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call our College Relations team at 224-5748.
