David Winch has been the man in charge of golf here at Buckswood for the past two years. David prides himself on making sure that the BGA team reach the highest standards possible in everything they do. This can be from practicing down the driving range, hitting golf balls in the nets, shooting high scores in competitions to achieving high marks in the classroom, everything matters to him.    David maintains a togetherness within the BGA team (like brothers), and relies on his motivational skills to lift players spirits when times can be hard.

Academy Captain

Manuel is an ever present player within the BGA team. His presence brings leadership and togetherness in abundance. He has an official handicap of 14, along with some fantastic A level results to match.

Academy Coach

A professionally qualified PGA golf coach from Beauport Park Golf Club teaches the students every aspect of the game. With over 10 years experience, it’s safe to say that the BGA team is in good hands.

The course sets a compelling and stern, yet fair challenge, whilst you enjoy the views of the gently strolling East Sussex Countryside. Over the years the very well maintained course has continued to be an extremely popular venue with a wide variety of golfers from beginners to advanced alike, societies and of course the club members and BGA team. It has also proven to be a popular tournament venue, having hosted numerous Pro-Ams and the Sussex Professional Championships. Whatever your level of golfing ability, we know you will enjoy the Beauport Experience!

Golf and business have been inextricably linked for more than a century. From the formation of private country clubs in the late 1800s to today's ritualistic sales meetings at Doral, Pebble Beach, or Kiawah Island, executives seem to be as comfortable conducting business against the serene backdrop of a rolling emerald fairway as they are within the controlled confines of the office. After all, they're also working on their swings. The ability to play golf, understand its etiquette, and respect its traditions can boost a career. This is why at Buckswood, we have a Golf Academy.
