BERGO TILES Floors for demanding environments

MADE IN SWEDEN Environmentally friendly

Bergo tiles have been made for 50 years with all the style, quality and durability that you expect from a tile made in Sweden. Multi-functional Bergo tiles are in a class of their own.

EASY TO INSTALL Or contract fit

BERGO TILES ARE IDEAL FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEM OF SLIPPERY DECKING. No more maintainance Bergo Eco Unique tiles in Beige Linen In the UK climate, wooden decks can become very slippery especially throughout the winter. With their clean lines they can create a super outdoor space, but they do need to be maintained. Bergo tiles solve the problem of endless sanding and coating. Simply lay over the decking and the problems are solved! Rainwater drains away Bergo’s clever designs mean that rainwater simply drains through the tile surface (or around the edge of Elite and Nova tiles) and drains away on the substrate underneath. Bergo tiles take up any dips in the substrate surface leaving you a clean and dry top surface - no more wet footprints being tracked indoors. The tiles can be laid over any hard surface including roof membranes and roofing felt.

Functional flooring for demanding environments, manufactured in Sweden for over 40 years. Bergo floor tiles were developed in the 1960s by a keen tennis player who wanted a more resilient and forgiving surface To extend his game of tennis. The original design is a stylised ‘web’ or ‘snowflake’ design which is still in use today in Bergo System 1 (Pro) tiles and for the XL tiles in the System 2 (DIY) range. The System 1 (Pro) range includes not only a superb tennis surface, but also a MultiSport surface, a Marine surface (you will probably see Bergo on the deck if you go on a cruise) and the ultimate in multifunctional flooring the Royal tile, used for everything from pool surrounds to play areas, garages and showrooms. System 1 tiles measure 30cm square; this range is usually installed by our fitting team. System 2 (DIY) range was introduced in 2005 with the Unique tile.

BEST SELLING PIAZZA & ECO UNIQUE WITH A DIAMOND EFFECT

This larger tile has a linear pattern which creates a stylish two-tone diamond effect on the floor. Unique (formerly called Piazza) is our best selling tile with a multitude of uses. The System 2 tiles measure 38cm square and have a tiny gap between each tile to allow for thermal movement. This makes fitting much simpler and perfect for DIY. Unique was followed by an eXtra Large (XL) version of the original S1 design, the Briq with a neat squared design and 2 solid topped tiles; plain finish Elite and Nova with a stylised checkerplate design completes the range. All the tiles in the System 2 range are multifunctional with uses as diverse as balcony floors, poolside floors, garage floors, cellar floors and roof terrace floors. HOME POOLS BERGO ROYAL

With our free draining tiles from Bergo, your poolside becomes a safe place to walk in bare feet Bare feet and slippery surfaces are not a good mix. Falling on hard ceramic tiles or stone wearing only a bathing suit is painful and severe injuries can be sustained. Anti-slip surfaces include etching the ceramic tiles for a better grip, but this doesn’t last long. Laying carpet; but this soon becomes waterlogged and then begins to smell, badly. Installing rubber crumb granules - this involves the use of chemicals and resins and whilst initially soft underfoot, eventually becomes hard and discoloured. Laying Bergo tiles solves all of these problems. The surface is clean, UV stable, chemical resistant and does not harbour bacteria or algae. The holes which allow for drainage also create a comfortable grip for bare feet as the

soft sole of the foot engages with the holes in the surface. This discourages children from running around the pool. Bergo Unique, Briq and XL are all suitable for home pools, spa pools hot tubs while Bergo Royal is used extensively for school and public pools. With a great range of colours and designs, Bergo tiles can be laid over any hard substrate, although old carpet or rubber crumb may have to be removed first.

UNIQUE DIAMOND PATTERN Linear design

Unique / Piazza tiles are a firm favourite with our swimming pool owners, whatever the shape of the pool.

Bergo floor tiles make a perfect play area, from toddlers to teenagers; children enjoy the bright, clean outdoor surface.

Why are Bergo tiles cleaner than other surfaces? Being made from polypropylene, very few things stick to the surface. Leaves and dust blow away, rainwater drains through the floor and mud can be washed off with a hose or scrubbed with a household detergent and rinsed. Do we have to have bright colours? No, you can use any of the open surface Bergo tiles for home play areas. The Royal tile comes in a range of bright colours and is used by nurseries and schools. But Briq with a small squared pattern is ideal for play, especially for toddlers and is available in colours to order or shades of grey from stock. The Unique (was Piazza) tile is very popular for patios and balconies, but has been

successfully used for play areas too. Available in a range of garden friendly colours. Unlike rubberised surfaces, these tiles will not harbour bacteria or mould. They are wamer and drier to sit on and much more forgiving than pavers or tarmac if a child does fall. How about riding bikes & other games?

KEEPING THE TWINS HAPPY Warmer, drier and safer This play area was laid in just a few minutes over the old patio slabs. The twins were delighted and it can easily be removed when they grow up.

Any Bergo tile makes a good surface to play on and ride bikes or trikes. They are also fun to rollerskate on and excellent for ball games. The open surface of Bergo tiles is ideal for water play as any spilled water drains through. Are Bergo tiles environmentally friendly? Yes, there are no emissions, no solvents, no glues, manufactured to a high quality standard at our factory in Sweden.
