Center for Indo European Business Studies (CIEBS) The Centre for Indo European Studies (CIEBS) is a joint centre of ESB Business School, Reutlingen University, Germany and S. P. Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR), Mumbai, India. It is funded by the European Union (EU). The German Delegation visited SPJIMR in the year 2009 in recognition of the collaboration between SPJIMR and ESB Business School, Germany and to inaugurate the CIEBS. The delegation comprised of Mr. Gunther H. Oettinger, Minister President of the State of Baden-Wurttemberg and Designate EU Commissioner; Mr. Hans Schoof, Head of Operations, EC Delegation in India; Schienti�ic Delegation; Dignitaries and Members of Parliament from Germany. CIEBS intends to enhance IndoEuropean understanding, academic exchange and business awareness.

Master’s Thesis MBA (International Management), ESB Business School, Reutlingen University PGCIM, SP Jain Institute of Management Research, Mumbai The program is a brainchild of CIEBS. ESB Business School, Reutlingen University, Germany which is one of the top international Business Schools in Germany has recognized the credits acquired from PGCIM, an eight month intensive course conducted at SPJIMR, Mumbai, for the direct admission to the second year of their MBA Program. The participants have to undergo a 6-month full time residential course in Reutlingen campus to be awarded MBA in International Management. The 6 months at Reutlingen will be composed of classroom training based on electives chosen by participants and a Master’s Thesis as a part of the academic curriculum.

Participants are required to undergo a Master's Thesis, which is part of the academic curriculum in the �inal term at ESB Business School. Doing a Master's Thesis allows participant to gain greater knowledge in their chosen �ields of expertise in a real business context. Challenging business issues such as country entry strategies, product launch and research, pressing organizational management issues and competitor analysis are the type of projects undertaken by participants. The topics identi�ied by organizations (primarily Indo-EU based companies) are addressed in the Master's thesis by means of extensive academic research. The participants are responsible for understanding the organization, its culture and the task in hand to derive interesting insights into the problem. A participant is allocated two mentors, one from the organization from where the thesis is being pursued and a professor with relevant expertise from ESB Business School.
