Within walking distance is the World famous Giants Causeway - the eight wonder of the World, and only a few minutes drive away is the romantic sixteenth centry Dunluce Castle. Visit nearby Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge for an exhilarating costal path experience. Visit the famous Bushmills Distillery in the nearby village, where you can experience the craft and skills of whiskey making. Visit the shop and enjoy a wee dram in the 1608 bar. An experience not to be missed. For the active, there are spectacular coastal walks and long beach walks along the magnificent strand of Whitepark Bay, White Rocks and Portstewart. For the golf enthusiast, there are 7 golf courses all within 15 miles including the world renowned Royal Portrush to pitch and putt, and a welcome for “golfers” of all ages and standards. � For the shopper, Coleraine has a wide range of independent retailers and multiple stores. � Many well known antique and craft shops are to be found dotted around the area. There are many excellent restaurants in the locality ranging from trendy wine bars to good family style restaurants. Ballylinny Cottages are the perfect base for a family getaway. With so much to see and do on our doorstep, the kids will never get bored and will be begging you to return time and time again! There is lots of activity around the cottages, with plenty to see and do on the family farm. Within the grounds a neolithic souterrain has recently been discovered - just perfect for those inquisitive minds. The tennis courts are situated just behind the cottages, which gives the kids a great opportunity to practise, especially if they are taking part in one of the many tennis competitions that are organised around the area during the summer months. Why not take a day trip to Rathlin Island and explore all that this fascinating island has to offer or take the ferry over to Donegal and experience the rich heritage and culture of Ireland. Look back over the sea from Malin Head and you’ll be able to see the headland where the Causeway sits. We can organise these trips for you, to guarantee a stress free day away. If the kids love to swim, but you don’t like the idea of them paddling away in the sea, then take them to the rock pools at Dunseverick, which is only a few miles away. The rock pools are wonderful, natural enclosed areas, that are totally safe to swim in. The beauty of these is that they are constantly replenished with sea water, so you get the benefit of swimming in the sea with the peace of mind of safety. Just right for learning to swim in. Magnificent views abound from every window and much of the furniture and furnishings have been specially designed and chosen to give that gentle relaxing country feel. The meeting room is located in the Barn and measures 10 metres x 5metres. It is a light, airy, room with a high ceiling and an attractive natural wooden floor and dramatic fireplace. The centre can seat a maximum of 50 people and can be hired out on a daily basis. It is a perfect venue for those team building events and corporate days out. We can organise surfing, horse riding, clay pigeon shooting or golfing and also arrange trips to the Giant’s Causeway, Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge or the famous Bushmills Distillery. The room is well equipped with the latest technology and offers a wireless broadband service. If needed, we can also hire out an overhead projector, projection screen and portable laptop computer. The coffee shop is adjacent to the meeting room and staffed catering can be arranged to suit all kinds of events. The menus range from specialty teas and coffees with homemade scones, freshly prepared soup and sandwiches and even dishes from around the world, such as chilli con carne, good ole bangers and mash and the must have Ulster Fry!
