Customization of User Interface Standard Entity form
Slide 13
Customization of User Interface Simplified Project Entity form • Contains only what is needed to track project information • Pages removed from General Information view • Views removed • Toolbar buttons removed
Slide 14
Customization of User Interface • Order of columns in a worksheet can be changed for all users • Activity Result, Completed By, Completed On columns moved over to the left as they are used most often
Slide 15
Data Security Additional data restrictions available: • Deletion of objects created by other users • Attachments
Slide 16
Management of MEVLUELK table • MEVALUELK table is the largest table in the Avantis.PRO database – Its size grows quickly as transactions are processed by MTP
• The enhancement offers the ability to limit the number of records being created by unchecking the Keep indirect costs by transactions flag on the Entity type value list.
Slide 17
General Ledger Account Setup • New user interface to Chart of Accounts object allows G/L accounts to be: −Added −Deleted −Suspended −Released −Imported/exported to Excel
Slide 18
Procedures and Safety Text • Option to copy procedures and safety text to work task when entity is defined as “Entity to Work On” − Controlled by business policy
•
If entity is an assembly: − All Procedures and Safety text for child entities will be copied to work task
•
If entity is moved from Work Order −Related Procedures and Safety text will be removed from WO
Slide 19
Copy Work Task to another Work Order • Ability to copy a work task from one work order to another • Optional copy of −Requirements −OLE −Attachments
• Avantis assigns new task number
Slide 20
Follow-up Work Request • Ability to generate a follow-up work request from: − Work order − Work task − Time card − Existing Equipment − Activity Record
Slide 21
Entity Hierarchy Available as printed report Prints hierarchy from the source entity down
Slide 22
Display of Planned Duration on Activity • Planned duration displayed on all activities • Total planned time calculated and displayed
Slide 23
Work Request Estimated Duration • User has option to enter estimated duration on a work request • Value copied to the work order
Slide 24
Resetting of PM Triggers • Option whether to restart triggering cycle for PM when reopened PM Work Order is closed. • Available at: – Work Order close – Work task close
• Business policy defines default • If Work Task is closed automatically, default value used
Slide 25
Statistic Trigger Defaults • Site-specific defaults on the statistic trigger tab can be defined in Business Policies: • Default for Statistic Triggering Rule – Actual readings – Normal average values – Normal averages and actual readings – An average of readings over x time
• Default for Predicting Future Dates for Statistic Triggers – Normal averages and actual readings – An average of readings over x time
Slide 26
Maintenance Map • Provides overview of health of entity hierarchy • Allows maintenance user or manager to identify problem areas at a glance • Data updated according to defined schedule
Slide 27
Maintenance Map • Allows visualization of maintenance status of entity hierarchy • Uses treemap control • Nested rectangles • Summary data • Drill-down capabilities
Slide 28
Maintenance Map – EAM Processor • Data is extracted via EAM Processor (Enterprise Asset Management Processor) service – Extraction parameters are configured in the Avantis Administration Tool
Slide 29
Maintenance Map – EAM Processor Parameters • Extraction interval • Weight factors for on time and past due scheduled work tasks
Slide 30
Maintenance Map • EAM extracts all open work orders • Determines number of open work orders that are on time vs number past due • Uses Ranking Index of Maintenance Expenditures (RIME) to calculate relative health – Work orders must have valid RIME value for calculations to be accurate • Entity Criticality • Priority • Work type
Slide 31
Maintenance Map • Health index calculation uses: – Average RIME factor for open work tasks – Applies Weight Factor defined in EAM to the number of open work tasks
• Rolls Health index up the entity physical hierarchy • Green indicates a high (good) health index, red indicates a low health index (default colors) • Colors, tooltip text can be changed in the Avantis.EAMProcessor.exe.config file
Slide 32
RIME Calculation • Based on multiplication using values from: – Criticality • Related to equipment capacity, reliability, impact on process
– Priority • Defined by planner
– Work Type • Considers safety hazards, environmental impact, reason for work
• If no values are defined, RIME factor = NULL • If one or two values not defined, they are assigned a value of 1 for calculation purposes
Slide 33
Maintenance Map Using Maintenance Map • Drill capability (up or down) – By single level – To top or bottom of hierarchy
• Zoom functionality (in or out) – Zoom directly to specific entity
• Ruler Control – Allows filtering of data – Left side is low health, health rises to right – User can click and drag “brackets” to limit entities to be displayed, e.g. • Only display entities whose health is below a defined value
Slide 34
Maintenance Map Map displays health of entity and its children
Tooltip
Ruler Control
Slide 35
Maintenance Map – Ruler Control
• Color on ruler represents entity health (green – good health, red – bad health) •Data area shows the current values (health is measured between 1 and 100) • Histogram shows number of entities at that health level • Color partitions are used to filter entities in the display • Color markers toggle color intensity (red – poor health, green – good health, white – median health)
Slide 36
Isolation Process Business Object Lockout/Tag Out • New Site-scoped, isolation process business object −Smart client application
• The feature works seamlessly with Avantis.PRO equipment management, work management, PM management and Avantis Approvals. – Lockout/Tag Out functionality is implemented as a separate licensed feature in Avantis.Pro.
