As such, we not only offer the structural materials and their process consumables, but also a complete range of composite tooling solutions. Our tooling prepregs offer outstanding surface finish and longevity for the manufacture of complex mould tools. Our design service can support tool design optimisation to ensure a fit-for-purpose solution. In addition we offer soft tooling technology including reusable vacuum bags, integral heater blankets, intensifiers and caul sheets. Our broad expertise in the development of single-use tailored vacuum bags through to reusable vacuum systems, including standard and heated bag solutions, has enabled us to provide innovative curing technology to support autoclave and oven vacuum bag prepreg moulding. These systems offer reduced costs by lowering cycle times and energy consumption.

MTM®23 has the capability to be rapid-cured in less than 3 minutes, can be formed into complex-shapes and is 40% lighter than metallic solutions, making it the material of choice to manufacture battery enclosures for an electric car, where manufacturing efficiency, extended range and enhanced performance are key.
