CDA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS EVENT INFORMATION Venue: QSEC, Beerburrum Rd, Caboolture, QLD 4510 Date: Thursday 15th – Saturday 17th September 2016 Vetting: Formal vetting will not be conducted, however CDA reserves the right to vet any dog present on the grounds on the day. Competitor Check In: 11:30 AM – 1:30PM Thursday Only Field Open for Practice: 1.30 – 1:45PM Thursday & 8:30 – 8:45AM Friday & Saturday (No Dogs allowed) Competitors Meetings: 1:45PM Thursday & 8:45AM Friday & Saturday Judging Commences: 2:15PM Thursday & 9:15AM Friday & Saturday Order of Judging: As per entry schedule. Facilities: Camping is Available. Camping must be booked in advance, Camping Bookings will be open from 5th August and must be booked through - www.nominate.com.au Showers & Toilets are located on the grounds. GLASS & ALCOHOL NO GLASS is permitted on the entire QSEC site, including the Stables and Campground. CANS AND PLASTIC BOTTLES ONLY. No BYO alcohol is permitted to be taken into the Main Arena or Clubhouse vicinities as these are licensed areas.

CAMPING RULES CAMP SITE DETAILS All personal belongings should be kept within your designated site area so paths and roads are not obstructed. Pegs must be no longer than 30cm and can only be used in designated nonpowered campsites, as specified by QSEC. LOSS OF PERSONAL BELONGINGS QSEC and MBRC shall not be liable for any loss or damage to your property by theft or personal injury. NOISE Be mindful of other campers. No excessive noise i.e. loud radios or generators are permitted before 7am or after 9pm. USE OF CAMPING FACILITIES Amenities: In the interest of safety, please ensure that any children are accompanied by an adult to the amenities. All visitors are asked to keep the toilets and showers as clean and tidy as possible. Please use the bins provided in the amenities block. Please turn taps off and do not put articles likely to cause obstructions into basins, sinks or toilets. Laundry: There is a washing machine and clothes dryer available (cost is $4 per wash and $4 per dry - $1 coins accepted only). Laundry powder sachets ($1) and change are available from the QSEC office (open Mon - Fri 7am - 5pm). The washing machine and dryer is for personal use only - strictly no horse rugs or items to be washed or dried. Camp Kitchen: There is a BBQ and seating area available for use. Please ensure you clean the BBQ down after use and wash any dishes/benches that are used. Please ensure all rubbish goes into the bins provided. There is absolutely no glass items allowed. SPEED LIMIT Please observe a maximum 10kph speed limit at all times. DOGS Dogs are permitted in QSEC camping grounds provided they are kept on a lead (maximum length of 1 metre) and under control at all times. Dogs must be kept away from horse activities including the Main Arena and shower/toilet/laundry facilities. Dogs are strictly prohibited in the amenities block. Any person not adhering to this guideline will be asked to leave the grounds immediately and no refund will be given. Please ensure that dog droppings are disposed of using the bags provided. FIRES The lighting of fires at sites and digging of holes is strictly prohibited. RUBBISH All refuse is to be placed in one of the many appropriately marked rubbish bins provided around QSEC. Rubbish bins are not to be removed from the designated areas. SMOKING Smoking is only permitted in the designated areas. ELECTRICITY For your safety only 15 amp power cords with 15 amp terminals and a maximum length of 10 metres are allowed. An approved circuit breaker and residual current device are necessary to provide power to sites. There is to be no “piggy backing” of power to sites. All caravans, campers, trailers must be wired to Australian New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 3001 by an electrical contractor.  A Caravan Installation Test Certificate (sticker) should be attached to the caravan to show that it meets the safety standards.

Entry & Registration • Teams are required to register for entry before the event. • There will be No Entry Option for the day of Competition. • Handlers need to fill out one entry form for each dog they will be competing with. • If a dog is competing with Multiple Handlers a separate entry form will need to be filled out per handler, multiple handlers will be allowed as long as the total number of rounds each dog is entered in per day does not exceed the maximum number outlined in Participation Eligibility. • All Entry Fees are to be paid with Entry Forms. CONDITIONS # Competition to be held under the Rules and Regulations of Canine Disc Australia (judging/scoring details for all events will be announced by the judge prior to the Event). # Competitors MUST adhere to the General Ground Rules of the QLD State Equestrian Centre. Please see attached Venue Map & Ground Rules # All dogs and handlers MUST be a member with CDA. # Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry. Any dog who has had contact with an infectious disease (except kennel cough), will be excluded from any CDA event for 18 days post contact. If a dog on club grounds is established as having an infectious disease (except kennel cough), then all dogs on the ground are excluded from CDA events for 18 days. # Any dog who has kennel cough, or is in the same household as a dog known to have Kennel Cough is excluded from any CDA sanctioned event for 21 days from the onset of clinical signs of kennel cough...

General Information The 2016 Australian National Canine Disc Championships are hosted by CDA. There are 5 separate National Championship Titles on offer, National Throw & Catch Champion - Novice & Open Divisions, a National Games Champion & National Freestyle Champion – Pro & Super Pro Divisions. Participation Eligibility • To be eligible to enter all teams must be a member of Canine Disc Australia as per the Rules & Regulations of CDA. • Neither the Handler nor the Dog is required to have previously competed in any sanctioned CDA Competition. • If you can throw a disc and your dog can catch it and bring it back then you are ready to compete in the Australian National Canine Disc Championships. • It is definitely possible that a team which has never competed before could be crowned a National Champion this year • Our Canine Companions are only eligible to enter No more than 8 rounds of canine disc action per day. . Judging Criteria The Judging criteria for the National Championships will be as identified in the CDA Rules & Regulations 1st Edition, with the exception being the divisions which have been outlined in each National Championship Overview; the Rules are available for download from the Canine Disc Australia Website www.caninediscaustralia.com.au CDA Titling All of the current titling opportunities for canine disc will be as per section 10.0 of the CDA Rules & Regulations. All rounds during the National Championships weekend are eligible for earning qualifying cards towards CDA Titles. Competitor Check In • All competitors are required to check in on the first day of competition. th • Check in is Open on Thursday 15 from 11:30am until No later than 1:30pm.

National Throw & Catch Championships Overview • Divisions for this event differ from normal championship competitions, There will be 2 Divisions for the finals being Novice & Open. • There are no prerequisites need to enter, your current normal competition division will determine which division you compete in… • There will be 3 Qualifying rounds of Throw & Catch over both days of competition Teams will compete in each of the 3 individual qualifying rounds as per normal competitions. • Teams which currently compete in Beginners & Excellent Divisions will be vying for a spot in the Novice Division Finals. • Teams which currently compete in Open & Masters Divisions will be vying for a spot in the Open Division Finals. • The Qualifying Rounds will be made up of 2 rounds of Toss & Fetch and 1 round of Bonus Chase. • The top 10 teams with the highest cumulative score after the 3 rounds in each of the combined divisions will then compete in the Finals, the finals will consist of 2 rounds of Throw & Catch being 1 x Toss & Fetch & 1 x Bonus Chase. The Team with The highest accumulative score in the 2 Final Rounds will be crowned the Australian National Throw & Catch Champion National Throw & Catch Championship Titles on offer include: 2016 Australian National Canine Disc Throw & Catch Champion - Novice Division 2016 Australian National Canine Disc Throw & Catch Champion - Open Division

National Freestyle Championships Overview • Divisions for Freestyle include both Pro & Super Pro Divisions, your current competing division will determine which division you will compete in for this event • There are No prerequisites needed to enter • There will be 3 rounds of Freestyle Competition over both days the team with the 2 highest scoring rounds after the 3 rounds will be crowned the National Freestyle Champion. National Games Championships Overview • This will be the first year we will crown a National Games Champion, There are No separate divisions for the games rounds. All teams will compete together as in usual competitions. • There are No prerequisites needed to enter • Teams will compete in 5 rounds/games, consisting of 1 x Accuracy, 1 x Black Jack, 1 x Double Up, 1 x Time Trial Games, Plus 1 Other… • National Champions will be determined based on the number of competitors and the placing you received after each round. The top 30% of entries or the top 10 teams (which is ever greater) with the highest cumulative score after 4 games will be eligible to enter the final round, the points scored in the placing’s in the 5th & Final round will be added to the previous 4 rounds and the team with the highest points will be crowned the National Games Champion. For eg if there are 11 Competing teams entered in to the Games Championship, Teams will earn the following points for each round/game . 1st Place will receive 11 points, 2nd place 10 points, 3rd place, 4th 9 points, 5th place 8 points and so on with 11th place receiving 1 point. If places are tied then the points will be split between the tied teams, for eg the 5th & 6th team are tied for 5th Place then they will both receive 7.5 points each calculated as 5th Place receives 8 points, 6th place 7 points which total 15points this is split between the 2 places so each team receives 7.5 points. 7th place receives 6 points. Games Championship Titles on offer include: 2016 Australian National Canine Disc Games Champion

Trophies & Prizes The National Champions as outlined in each of the Championship Overviews along with the Runners Up, Third, Fourth & Fifth Overall of each will receive a trophy and gift. Prizes are issued for each individual round of competition for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place in each division.

Ties

National Throw & Catch Championship – If at the end of 2 Final rounds there

is a Tie for the Overall positions, the winner will be determined by who had the highest scoring 1st finals round, if both teams have the same highest scoring 1st finals round it will be determined by the highest score after the first 2 qualifying rounds of competition.

National Freestyle Championship - If at the end of the 3 rounds there is a Tie for the Overall positions, the winner will be determined by who had the highest scoring round overall, if both teams have the same highest scoring round it will be determined by the highest score after the first 2 rounds of competition.

National Games Championship – If at the end of the Final Round there is a Tie for the Overall positions, the winner will be determined by who had the highest placing in the Final Round.

Refunds Waivers & Disclaimer • If for any reason unforseen by CDA the event is cancelled prior to or on the day of Competition, Competitors will be entitled to a full refund of event entry fees paid. It is at the discretion of CDA whether these funds are paid in cash or cheque. • If for any reason unforseen by CDA the event is postponed prior to or on the day of Competition, Competitors will be entitled to a full refund of event entry fees paid only if they are unable to participate at the new date set for the event. It is at the discretion of CDA whether these funds are paid in cash or cheque. • If the handler requests a refund of event entry fees prior to the day of competition, CDA will refund the event entry fees paid minus a 10% administration fee. • If the handler requests a refund of event entry fees on the day of competition, the handler will not be entitled a refund, however it is CDA’s discretion for issuing partial or full refunds and it is also at the discretion of CDA whether these funds are paid in cash or cheque.

QUEENSLAND STATE EQUESTRIAN CENTRE (QSEC) CAMPING & STABLES RULES AND REGULATIONS To ensure your visit is a happy one, please observe the following rules and regulations pertaining to camping and stabling at QSEC. DUMPING OF SULLAGE/GREY WATER Patrons must not dump their sullage in the campgrounds or protected habitats. Patrons must contain their sullage/grey water and find an appropriate dump point once they have left the campgrounds and QSEC site.

QSEC Management reserves the right to ask guests who contravene these rules and regulations or who in any other way are behaving in a manner likely to cause distress or nuisance to other visitors, to leave the grounds immediately with no refund. QSEC Management shall not be liable for any extra costs incurred by that visitor being evicted. Visitors must not remain on any part of the QSEC grounds after having been requested to leave.
