It isn’t always easy for parents to meet youngsters’ needs, but they do it because of the love and concern they have for their children. Special friends are also more concerned about others and show this by putting other’s before themselves. Next, when people are more concerned about others, they make decisions based on what’s best for the people they love rather than what’s best for themselves.

Harriet Tubman was a heroic woman who cared so much for others that she risked her freedom, marriage, and health to secretly transport people from slavery to freedom through the Underground Railroad. Lastly, when people are more concerned about others, they don’t think twice about putting themselves in danger to save the lives of their fellow man. To illustrate this, think about the firefighters, police, and citizens who rushed into the burning Twin Towers trying to save lives during the 911 attack.
