System Requirements What  you  need:  

Laptop recommendation: Lenovo ThinkPath T530

•   A  good  laptop  (or  sta4onary)  computer  running  minimum  2  Ghz  with  at  least  4  GB  of  RAM   •   Dedicated  graphics  card   •   Screen  resolu4on  of  minimum  1600  x  1050  pixels   •   A  monitor  output  to  connect  the  eye  tracker  in  addi4on  to  the  exis4ng  screen     •   MicrosoJ  Windows  7  Professional  –  64  bit    –  preferably  English  installa4on   •   MicrosoJ  Internet  Explorer  9.0  (make  sure   Zoom  is  at  100%).   •   An  internet  enabled  network  connec4on   •   Windows  Media  Player  11  is  installed  (otherwise  you  wont  be  able  to  use  video  s4mulus)  

For  beWer  performance  specifically  when  using  Add  on  Modules  such  as  Sensor  Sync  &  Usability  please  upgrade  to:  

•   8  GB  (for  longer  tests  e.g.  30-­‐60  mins  videos  or  web  tests)   •   NVidia  Graphics  card     •   Minimum  Intel  Core  I5  2.5GHz  processor  or  beWer   •   HD+  (1600  x  900  px)  display   •   or  FHD  (1920  x  1080  px)  display  

What  we  recommend  addi4onally:   •   Adobe  Acrobat  Reader  +  MicrosoJ  Office  2007     •   MicrosoJ  lifecam  hd  3000  for  respondent  video  recording

If  you  run  on  Windows  XP  or  Vista  you  NEED  TO  UPGRADE  to  Windows  7.   MicrosoJ  does  not  support  XP  nor  Vista  anymore  and  AWen4on  Tool®  runs  with  the  latest  technologies  available.

Installation steps

REMEMBER to backup your studies before upgrading. • Download the full installation package (665 Mb) using the following link: http://www.attentiontool.com/downloads/AttentionTool49.zip



If you already have a prior version of Attention Tool installed, please use the following link to upgrade from 4.X:

3. Extract files from the zip folder into the C drive 4. Browse to the file Setup.exe 5. Follow instructions in the installer to complete the installation 6. Run Attention Tool to initiate the application registration process

Installation of Attention Tool 4.9 Enter the Customer ID provided by iMotions - Eye Tracking A/S – in case you are an existing user of Attention Tool, a Customer ID has already been provided for you





The Product Key – also provided by iMotions - Eye Tracking A/S - is unique for each installation of Attention Tool and during registration it will be locked to the host computer

Verify that the application license expiration and number of credits corresponds with your agreement with iMotions Eye Tracking A/S

NEW Features & Improvements NEW

                 NEW  FEATURES       NEW  API  which  forward  all  data  real  4me  including  eye   tracking  metrics  and  biometric  sensor  output.  Hereby   you  can  build  applica4ons  through  AWen4on  Tool  to  fit   your  research  need..     Live  and  post-­‐processing  markers  that  can  be  used  to   note  important  learning  during  and  aJer  your  test.  This   is  especially  valuable  for  screen  recordings  and  web   based  analysis  and  eye  tracking  glasses.  It  is  built  directly   into  the  AOI  editor  and  scene  editor  as  an  standalone   event.       Batch  import  of  eye  tracking  glasses  and  op4on  to   IMPORT  biometric  sensors  into  the  iMo4ons  analysis   plalorm.    

IMPROVEMENTS  

  Sensor  graph  and  Gaze  Replay  visible  in  the  AOI  editor  for  screen   recordings  and  glasses  recordings.  Hereby  you  can  align  and  create   AOI's  and  exports  for  both  you  sensors  signals  and  eye  tracking   glasses  data.     Beeswarm  and  dynamic  heatmap  is  visible  in  the  AOI  editor  for   analysis  of  video  s4muli.     Moving  AOI  sta4s4cs  is  aggregated  and  shown  in  a  graph  and  can  be   exported  to  a  text  file.     When  applying  moving  AOIs  across  respondents  on  screen  recording   and  eye  tracking  glasses  sessions,  the  AOI  editor  remembers   previously  defined  AOI  names  to  support  consistent  naming  and   aggrega4on.     In  the  moving  AOI  editor  you  can  navigate  on  the  4me  line  by  using   keyboard  short  cuts.  Back  and  forth  by  using  arrow  keys,  play/pause   using  space  bar.     Moving  AOI  editor  enable  very  FAST  manual  coding  by  using   shortcuts:  G  centers  the  AOI  shape  on  the  gaze  point,  H  hide/ac4vate   the  AOI.

Bug Fixes NEW

Cri4cal  bug  correc4on,  survey  data  not  saved.     Eye  finder  pops  up  on  s4mulus  screen,  when  opening  operator  view  in  full  screen.     Incorrect  error  message  when  star4ng  run  study  without  the  license  downloaded.     When  impor4ng  scenes  with  file  name  >40,  the  db  entries  are  truncated  and  not  the  file  names     (only  study  export/import,  not  db  restore)     Wrong  metrics  if  the  Moving  AOI  is  outside  the  screen  area.     Moving  AOI  –  4me  spent  metrics  are  either  0  or  100     Change  "Highlight  Templates"  rename  to  "AOI  templates"     Rename  of  "Advanced  Segmenta4on"  to  "Test  Plan  Segmenta4on”

Try the sample studies ! In the Attention Tool installation package, we have provided a number of sample studies which you can try out. 1. Select Load Study From File from the File menu. • In the window that appears, click the Browse button to select which study to load. 1. Browse to the folder where you downloaded and extracted the AttentionTool48.zip package. Locate the SampleStudies folder, select study. • Click Load Study to import the selected study into your Attention Tool library.
