Hero Aviation Flight Academy

About Us HERO Aviation is an international Flight Training Organization approved by EASA to provide training at all levels. The company was founded in 2008 under the legal name Hellenic Romanian Aviation & Transport Ltd. The distinctive trade name HERO is an abbreviation of our

legal name and represents the association of our two major company branches, in Greece, since 2008, and in Bucharest Romania since 2007. Both companies are running with private capital and without any funding or loans from any Bank of Greece or Abroad. Since mid-2014 Hero Aviation operates outside the European boundaries with a newly established branch in Moscow Russia. As of our offices in the centre of the Russian capital we deliver EASA approved Aviation programs to students and aviation professionals that require proficient training under European standards and licencing. With our state of the art facilities and services and with our privately owned aeroplane fleet we provide the most reliable and modern aviation training in Greece. We continuously expand and grow, adding more programs and services to our business and we invest in human resources in all of our branches worldwide.

Our long-standing reputation for quality training is backed by the Greek Aviation Authorities (HCAA) and by numerous students from all around the world who have pledged their trust to us and to our high quality services that we effortlessly deliver.

The Flight Academy Becoming a pilot is an exciting proposition. Imagine being able to hop into an airplane and soar skyward, free to go virtually anywhere you wish. See the most fantastic vistas and feel the thrill of confidence. Pilots are special people who have earned a special recognition. Many people

dream about it, but few ever reach the goal. You can be one of those few and you can start your journey right now. The path you will take while earning your wings won’t be the easiest thing you have ever tried. But it isn’t terribly difficult either. It will require some diligent study and practice, but it is something that you can do. It only takes determination and a sense of adventure. At HERO AVIATION we have combined the culture, discipline and excitement of aviation to ensure that you experience a dynamic, unique and rewarding environment from the first day of your course work. Our training philosophy is to provide you with not just the "stick and rudder" skills of an experienced pilot, but the ability to make complex decisions, which will set you apart from those

trained under traditional flight training principles. We are able to complete this task by using not only the latest in teaching methods utilized by the world's leading flight schools, but through our commitment to you to stay current and validate our curricula on a constant basis. With this note of confidence, I warmly welcome you in the world of Aviation and I am sure that you will enjoy the high quality of specified training related to the aviation in HERO AVIATION Academy, which will promote the Aviation Industry and Aeronautical Sciences in Greece.

Wishing you a Safe Landings and a Great Career in Aviation... Capt. Konstantinos Glynis Head of training

the Globe. HERO AVIATION Academy is located at Kalamata International airport (LGKL) and Pachi (Megara - near Athens) general aviation airport (LGMG), as second operational base. Conveniently located on the beautiful coast of Messinia, this is an ideal destination for flight training. The excellent weather of Greece enables us to deliver consistent training all year round.

Our Training Aircrafts We use the most famous training airplanes (Cessna 150/172) and Tecnam P2006T all under Continuing Airworthiness Maintenance Organization (CAMO). The Maintenance is following the manufacture maintenance program approved by EASA. Depending on the training schedule needs, we are able to increase or decrease our fleet in order to keep our insurance and maintenance cost

low which is also an explanation to the question “How we can give you a so competitive price”. Currently, we are in the process of expanding our fleet by acquiring 3 more training aircrafts and a new simulator, for Type Rating, which will be located in our facilities in Kalamata Greece. Unlike many other Flight schools in Greece, Hero Aviation’s fleet is mostly privately owned, reflecting our stable financial security and continuous growth.

ATPL Integrated

The ATPL Integrated course aims to enable candidates, with no prior aviation experience, to acquire the EASA ATPL license. The licence obtained after the successful completion of the course includes CPL(A), IR and MEP along with the (frozen-ATPL). By the end of the course students are equipped with all the necessary professional and technical skills required to attain a position as a co-pilot on multi-pilot and multi-engine commercial transport airplanes. ATPL Modular The course does not require full classroom attendance and can be completed using our intuitive distance learning software. It is flexible and can be completed part time, stage by stage. It is designed for individuals who do not wish to undertake a full-time training course or who wish to complete the ATPL modules over a period of time. At the first stage of the course, modular course cadets will gain the pre-entry requirement of a Private Pilot’s License before they continue to the ATPL modules with a Type Rating. ATPL/FI + 1500 hrs This is a uniquely designed course aiming to provide not only the necessary training for a professional career as an Airline Pilot but an expensive professional experience as well, immediately after the completion of the program. It is a fact that a typical ATPL course that comes along with 207 hours of Flight training is not enough to pursue a job in the aviation industry, and therefore additional hours building is required. The ATPL/FI + 1500hrs course consists of an Integrated ATPL, a Flight Instructor course along with a two (2) years paid job contract as an Instructor within Hero Aviation Flight Academy or as Commercial Pilot in the transport side of our business. Besides the Flight Instructor’s salary of 12,000 € per year, the next and most important advantage of this program is the experience and flight hours that will be acquired during the employment period.

ATPL For PPL holders The ATPL For PPL Holders Modular, also referred to as ATPL Modular, is a combination of flight training courses. The course consists of the following modules: the Night Rating (NR), the Single Engine Instrument Rating IR (IR(A)/SP/SE), the Multi Engine Class Rating (MEP), the Multi Engine Instrument Rating IR (IR(A)/SP/ME) and the Commercial Pilot License (CPL(A). PPL (A)

Private Pilot License PPL is a single course designed to train pilots to the level of proficiency necessary to enable them to operate as private pilot in command on single engine piston airplanes under visual flight rules (VFR). The PPL permits the holder to act as the pilot-in-command on any aircraft below 5700 Kg. for non-commercial purposes i.e. not for remuneration. Thousands of private pilots around the world enjoy the benefit of a private pilot license by hiring airplanes to fly for fun and recreation with friends and families. A lot of businessmen and famous personalities from the world of entertainment also prefer to fly their own airplanes for business or holiday trips which save them a lot of time and money. The benefits of a PPL are many.

ATPL V.I.P The ATPL V.I.P program is specifically designed for student wishing to enroll in an exclusively private ATPL course accompanied by V.I.P class services. The course is fully conforming to EASA regulations and it can be tailored made to your needs in terms of pace, tutoring, flying training, housing, transportation and more. Conversion Course The aim of the Conversion Courses is to convert an ICAO CPL/IR/MEP holder to EASA CPL/MEP/IR and achieve the level of proficiency necessary according the PART-FCL. The course provides to the ICAO pilots JAR-FCL CPL/IR/MEP license with ATPL Theory Credit, as it is necessary requirement for most airlines for recruitment, in Europe and many other countries in the world.

Night Rating (NR) Night Rating allows you to exercise the privileges of your PPL at night. You need 5 hours night flight training, one of which must be solo. Multi Crew Cooperation (MCC) The aim of the course is to become proficient in multi-crew co-operation (MCC) in order to operate safely multi-pilot airplanes. The objectives of MCC training are optimum decision making, communication, allocation of tasks, mutual supervision, the use of checklists, teamwork and support throughout all phases of flight under normal, abnormal and emergency conditions. Instrument Rating Singe Engine (IR/SEP) Instrument Rating Singe Engine (IR/SE) is a single course, designed to train pilots to the level of proficiency necessary to enable them to operate as private pilot in command, on single engine piston airplanes under instrument flight rules (IFR). Instrument Rating on Multi Engine (IR/MEP) Instrument Rating (IR/MEP) on Multi Engine is a single course where the student holding a pilot license with Instrument Rating on Single Engine and Multi Engine class rating, begins flight training of the Instrument Rating on Multi Engine. Flight Instructor The aim of the Flight Instructor course is to give adequate training to the applicant in ground and flying instructional techniques based upon established teaching methods. On successful completion of the course and final test the applicant will be issued with a FI (A) rating permitting the holder to give flight training appropriate to the issue of a PPL(A) or a CPL(A). ICAO English Language Proficiency HERO AVIATION is an Authorized English Language Test Center forICAO by the HCAA. We can provide examinations for all levels of Aviation English. The International Civil Aviation Organization, requires all civil pilots and air traffic controllers to have a minimum level of English knowledge.
