ABOUT ATA & Member Profile The American Telemedicine Association is a membership association that promotes professional, ethical and equitable improvement in health care delivery through telecommunications and other information technologies. Established in 1993, the association’s membership includes a wide variety of practitioners, healthcare institutions, companies and other institutions all with an interest in telemedicine. The mission of the ATA is to educate and engage government, payers and the public about telemedicine by providing reputable information, fostering collaboration, promoting research and innovation, developing policies and standards, and creating consumer awareness and support.
