Are Thoresen is an internationally well known holistic therapist living in Norway. He studied agriculture and veterinary medicine and after some years of practise he soon began to be interested in holistic therapies such as homoeopathy and acupuncture. Following the idea of deficiency as reason for symptoms, already mentioned in the Nei Jing – The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Medicine –three thousand years B.C., he started talking and lecturing about it in the nineties of last century, when most acupuncturists wanted to reach the goal of a holistic therapy without investing many thoughts in the idea of deficiency as the underlying reason of excess. Are Thoresen gave this ancient idea a new vitality, as a result of what he had experienced and developed in his own work on small animals, horses, diaries and humans. His extraordinary good results in the treatment of breast cancer in humans and dogs based on the idea of deficiency in combination with the five element Ko-Cycle spreads around in the holistic world. He now is able to present his results with western scientific methods about the identification of twelve nontoxic oligopeptides with cytostatic effects after acupuncture on three breast cancer cell lines and similar for other organ tumours as well. His work is a synthesis of acupuncture, homeopathy, and, in the last years, of osteopathy, too. One of his newest conclusions, he named it “anatomical consciousness”, is a detectable and widely useful source for treatment. In this seminar he will present it for the first time. Are Thoresen speaks a well understandable English and he understands the German language, too. Questions can therefore easily be asked in German.
