SHOW ETIQUETTE (Section 6.3.3) It shall be the duty and obligation of the show giving club to see that a judge, club official, volunteer, or any participant at an event is not subject to indignities. The Conformation Show Committee Chair shall promptly report to the CKC any infringement of this regulation, and the Discipline Committee shall have the authority to take such action as it deems fit on receipt of a report indicating that this has occurred. (See Section 19.7)

CKC NON-MEMBER PARTICIPATION FEE The Non-Member Participation Fee applies to dogs wholly owned by a resident of Canada who is not a member of the CKC; it is not applicable to CKC members or dogs co-owned with a CKC member. In order for the title to be awarded, the non-member will have a choice to either become a CKC member or pay the Non-Member Participation Fee. Failure to comply within 30 days of notification will result in the title being withheld and the dog cannot be moved up to the next level. (For a Membership application, please go to www.ckc.ca under CKC Services and Forms On-Line). The Non-Member Participation Fee is fee paid in the calendar year (January – December) in which the dog achieved its title and/or titles.

An “In transit area” will be provided at these shows according to the amendments to Chapter 13.10 or the CKC Dog Show Rules. To comply with instructions issued by the Canadian Kennel Club, we will be unable to accept any entry reaching our Show Secretary after the official closing date as published in this premium list. No entry will be accepted unless all particulars called for on the entry form are filled in, ex. Birthday, Class and Sex. NO ENTRY WILL BE ACCEPTED UNLESS ACCOMPANIES BY THE ENTRY FEE. POST DATED CHEQUES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. TELEPHONE ENTRIES CANNOT BE ACCEPTED. Exhibitors must abide by errors made in entering their dogs regardless of how or by whom the entries were made. Change or cancellation of any entry after closing day os prohibited. No Refund will be made for duplicate entries. The CDC DOG SHOW COMMITTEE reserves the right to refuse any entry, subject to C.K.C.Dog Show Rules. THE SHOW SUPERINTENDENTS WILL BE IN FULL CHARGE OF THE SHOW which will be governed by C.K.C. Rules. Identification cards and judging schedule will be mailed as soon as possible after entries close. Unless a dog is officially entered, it will not be allowed in the show precincts. Dogs need only to arrive 15 minutes before scheduled judging time, and will be excused, each show, when not required for further judging. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to have the dog in the ring when the dog’s class is scheduled for judging. The CDC Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of an accident, or other misfortune, to either dogs, exhibitors, or patrons. Since the Show Secretary is not responsible for the engaging of the photographer, please direct any communication regarding photographs to the photographer. If because of riot, civil disturbance or other acts beyond the control of the management; it is impossible to open or to complete the show no refund of entry fee will be made. To avoid noise and confusion, there will be no individual dogs called to the ring by loud-speaker. Times on the judging schedule are broken down hourly in individual breeds. Extra copies are available from the Secretary. The Show giving club and the Superintendent have no obligation or responsibility for providing service through a public address system or stewards or runners for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not brought into the ring when required. Delays waiting for dogs will not be possible and handlers with several breeds must arrange for alternate handlers if judging times for their breeds conflict.
