You will be responsible for managing the business to help drive even greater levels of efficiency through team development. You will empower and give accountability to your management team, in order to maximise plant efficiencies, throughput, labour and quality. You will represent the Operations function at board level whilst contributing to the overall strategic development of this major food manufacturer. You will also need to demonstrate a strong affinity for your people and be able to influence and debate internally with colleagues and externally with customers.

You will be joining the site management team responsible for introducing new systems whilst improving quality and enhancing procedures. Responsible for all aspects of the Technical and Health and Safety functions this is a key role responsible for technical and operational issues across the business ensuring compliance to food safety requirements, legislation and quality systems. You will also be responsible for driving the people on site to achieve the company’s focus of a total quality culture environment

Our client a major European food manufacturer is currently looking to recruit a number of Shift Managers due to an internal restructure. They supply high quality food products, this successful food manufacturing organisation are the No 1 player within their sector. A pivotal role this is an excellent opportunity to work for a progressive forward thinking organisation. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager You will manage a manufacturing area running across a 24/7-shift pattern and deliver performance targets measured through KPI attainment, you will be responsible for championing a culture of total world class manufacturing. Your duties will include managing and training your team via coaching, appraisal, mentoring and leading by example. You will control operational KPI’s within budget and ensure efficient operation and control in your area. Production meetings will be held daily and monthly and all findings communicated with your team.
