1. Introduction The purpose of this document is to describe the compliance testing carried out using Avaya Aura® Communication Manager and Avaya Voice Portal with Sestek GVZ TTS Text-to-Speech Engine. It includes a description of the configuration of both the Avaya and the Sestek equipment, as well as a description of the tests that were performed and a summary of the results of those tests. The Sestek GVZ TTS provides the capability to vocalize text in an electronic environment in a clear and human-like way. It can be used in IVR systems, call centers, vocalizing web pages, avatar implementations, computer games, mobile phones, embedded systems, document vocalization, ATM and kiosk implementations and so on. Since it supports MRCP v1 and v2, it is applicable to various Avaya solutions.

2. General Test Approach and Test Results This section details the general approach to the testing, what was covered, and results of the testing.

2.1. Interoperability Compliance Testing Interoperability compliance testing focused on placing calls via Communication Manager to Voice Portal. Voice Portal hosted a test VoiceXML application that used GVZ TTS to provide speech to the caller. Turkish, Azeri and US English languages were all tested. In addition, serviceability and recovery from power or network failures were tested.

2.2. Test Results All tests passed successfully.

2.3. Support Technical support can be obtained for the Sestek GVZ TTS solution as follows:  Email: [email protected]  Website: www.sestek.com.tr  Phone: +90 (212) 286 25 45

3. Reference Configuration Figure 1 illustrates the network topology used during compliance testing. The Avaya solution consists of an Avaya S8800 Server running Avaya Aura® Communication Manager with an Avaya G650 Media Gateway. An Avaya X3250 Common Server hosts the Avaya Voice Portal and Tomcat Application Server. H.323 stations configured on Avaya Aura® Communication Manager act as the interface between Avaya Aura® Communication Manager and Avaya Voice Portal. The GVZ TTS server is hosted on a Windows XP operating system. An application configured on Avaya Voice Portal, references both the Application Server and the GVZ TTS server resources.
