KRAKOW – PARADE OF VARIETY Krakow is a city of many passions. The varying atmosphere and dynamics of individual districts are its essence. The architecture reflects that variety. There are Christian churches, Jewish synagogues, bourgeois tenement houses, exclusive villas and new residences. However, it is the residents who provide the districts with a clear character. Krakow absorbs the differences in the Main Square filled with traditions and in the narrow streets of the Old Town. Multiculturalism has been part of the origin of these places for centuries. One of the most typical districts for Krakow is Zwierzyniec and it is thoroughly filled with the traditions of Polish culture.

ZWIERZYNIEC – NADWIŚLAŃSKI MEZALIANS Mieszkańcy Zwierzyńca uchodzą za typowych reprezentantów krakowskiej arystokracji. ZWIERZYNIEC – MISALLIANCE ON THE VISTULA RIVER Residents of Zwierzyniec are said to be typical representatives of Krakow’s elite. Houses resembling Tuscan residences have been passed to the descendants of Krakow-based families of lawyers, professors and doctors for years. The district is also considered to be the cradle of Krakow folklore. The annual Emmaus church fête takes place here and atmospheric artistic studios are located on a small street under the same name, which stretches along the embankment of the Rudawa River. Salwator is the heart of Zwierzyniec, it is a district of villas filled with Art Nouveau buildings surrounded by greenery. The exceptional atmosphere of this part of Krakow is undoubtedly connected with nature. The Wolski Forest is a favourite place for recreation and relaxation while a walk along the Waszyngton Avenue is a popular weekend pastime. The tall Kościuszko Mound pleases the eye with one of the best panoramas of Krakow.

The calm waters of the Vistula River and the Rudawa River in this place make it a popular fishing ground. It is also the location of a rowing club, the annual rowing regatta of which resembles British university competitions. The Kościuszko street is a popular and desirable address. MIESZCZAŃSKA KAMIENICA Fasada nowej kamienicy od ul. Kościuszki jest przykładem współczesnego języka krakowskiego modernizmu. Jednak ta zrównoważona mieszczańska architektura posiada również elementy budzące skojarzenia z modernistyczną zabudową Nowego Jorku. To piękne szerokie witryny czy wysoka na dwie kondygnacje brama wjazdowa. Tradycja i nowoczesność podkreślone są również w zastosowanym materiale fasady – płytach z piaskowca. Kamień ten obecny jest również w architekturze oddalonego zaledwie o kilkaset metrów Zamku Królewskiego na Wawelu.

BOUR GEOIS TENEMENT HOUSE The facade of the new tenement house facing Kościuszko street is an example of Krakow’s modernism. However, the balanced bourgeois architecture also includes elements which evoke associations with a modernist New York development. They are beautiful broad shop windows and a two-storey high entrance gate. The tradition and the modernity are emphasized by the material used in the facade – sandstone tiles. The stone is also reminiscent of the architecture of the Wawel Royal Castle located only a few hundred metres away.

TARASY BULWARU RODŁA Kaskadowy układ budynku zmienia się od strony Wisły zgodnie z rytmem zielonych bulwarów Rodła. Pozwoliło to otworzyć większość apartamentów na widokowe walory nabrzeża: wody Wisły, zabudowania klasztoru Sióstr Norbertanek, sylwetę Starych Dębnik, bryłę zamku na Wawelu oraz wieże kościoła Mariackiego. Z tej strony zlokalizowano również parterowe ogrody.

TERRACES OF RODŁO BOULEVARD The cascade structure of the building changes on the Vistula River’s side in accordance with the rhythm of the green Rodło Boulevard. It made it possible to open the majority of the apartments to the scenic qualities of the embankment: the water of the Vistula River, the Norbertine Convent, the silhouette of Dębniki, the Wawel castle and towers of St. Mary's Basilica. Ground-level gardens also face this side.

The building comprises a fitness area and a car park including garages on the underground floor. The top apartments have spacious viewing terraces. An internal yard has also been functionally arranged for the convenience of all residents. It includes stone and wooden benches, a pergola, carefully arranged plants and it focuses the attention on a linden tree – a natural feature of historic importance which grows there.
